  1. Still managed to finish the post; a true arbtalker!
  2. Wow, very interesting, have only just discovered this thread, but will definitely be following it now. Thanks for taking the time.
  3. Yep, I asked for your address as you have it next. Not just yet though! So far I would say it has more species and is a less cluttered in its delivery than Rogers (all I have which is comparable). I shall be more in depth at a latter date, safe to say I want a copy
  4. Was a taxonomist having a dig at an ex named Liana?
  5. Picked this up from the post office today, looks fantastic, and, better than I expected cheers hama and rob
  6. Just received this morning, had a quick flick and looks very good. Shall have a proper ganders when I get time to. Whoever is next (rob?) Please pm me. Ps, nice on hama
  7. Here is the link, library cards at the ready http://WWW.essexlibrarynews.org.UK/validation/bs.html Cheers AA techie (not an insomniac, but the father of an 8 month old one!)
  8. Hi, can anyone give me guidance on replacing the crank in a 200t ? Have a new shaft and seals etc. Have seen it done a few times, but not done it myself. I can strip and rebuild comfortably until the block needs splitting, then the old grey matter hits a brick wall! Any advice welcomed, as a snapped crank is fairly useless! Cheers
  9. I found out after asking in the town library that all BS are available to view in their entirety online, you need your library card details to log in. There is a link, ill post it when I find it
  10. Hi, why exactly does the Armillaria cause the flat bark, as opposed to dead? Is the area of flat bark likely to die over time?
  11. Fantastic example of zoning
  12. Hmm, pic doesn't seem to load? Tap a talk app not that great!
  13. My first too she's taking me out for the day!
  14. Nowt wrong with sloths! Better (though slower) climbers than any arb talker
  15. Does look saddle like, but 3 smaller brackets? Could be an old pleurotus, though odd time of year?probably right with saddle
  16. I'd say try treelife if you can, they operate 1 day a fortnight courses, so not much time off work (holiday?), also, I think they are cheaper than the home study they offer. On another note, the tech cert is being replaced, again, call and chat to treelife, they will fill you in. I can't comment on others, as I haven't used them! Good luck

Don't think so. When you take the side cover off they are visible, right? If so just pop the old ones off and replace them. Best to replace them all at once, when ones gone, the others probably aren't far off
  20. What a state of affairs! If it where up to me, a name would be a name, full stop thanks!
  21. Oh, I misread and didn't realise lipsiense was the original name. So why was it changed to applanatum, why not leave it as it was all along!? Am I being awkward? it just seems odd to me to change, then change back? Sorry if I am just being dumb!
  22. Sorry, meant cuticularis not mesenterica, having a senior moment I do pay attention to your other threads, honestly!
  23. Thank you but if for example, lipsiense and applanatum are the same fungi, what was wrong with applanatum? Who decided on the change, and in light of what new info?
  24. Hello keizer, I wonder if you could clarify for me the sequence of name changes of the Ganoderma's? And if possible why they changed, and what the names mean; it helps me remember! Many thanks
