  1. Looked into one a while back myself, can't remember who but I'll try to dig a couple of numbers out if I can find them. If access is fairly bad, have you looked at a hi-mac mounted mulcher - you will probably be suprised where they can get to and the amount of rhodie they will destroy in a day.
  2. Get the magical blue book out!! Not sure off the top of my head but it'll tell you in there. Probably depends on how much m3 you are cutting to see much difference, as some species obviously have thin bark and some can have quite thick bark.
  3. I'll dig Dick Bradshaws number out tomorrow and give you a bell. He did the assessment for me. He might be able to point you in the direction?
  4. Was in south wales last year and saw a lot dying off. Depending which species it is, and going off the most common species planted, they are frost tolerent from something like -5 to -12 ish. Hence the cold couple of winters of late have done quite a lot of damage to the newly planted trial sites, and I presume this will be the same for the more established trees. Someone might correct me though!
  5. Good they have got him, even though its taken nigh on 9 years, but the first thing I thought was how long before they retaliate
  6. Cheers, trouble is they fit quite a few old fords. I'll get them one day and chop their fingers off!
  7. Don't get to them places that often but I'll keep my eyes open, cheers
  8. Trivial compared to some of the poor lads on here who have had kit stolen, but went to the county this morning and someone has nicked the exhaust off it (brand new too). Never touched battery or diesel in it. Getting really sick of hearing about things going missing now. Maybe I should start up some sort of vigilantie group?!
  9. Older than time itself, or at least I feel that way most mornings! 30 in August
  10. Brilliant! Will have to get yan!
  11. Ha ha, will have to keep an eye for this operation working the area!!!
  12. pffft. I can do that with my eyes shut in my defender He is one hell of a driver!
  13. Hi Bit of a random one, but has anyone been doing any work in Hessle in the last couple of days? Been some work going on next to where my parents live and I suppose I'm just being nosy!!
  14. Coniston Corporate did mine, average prices but did a good job.
  15. That is bad news, especially as I'm not as keen on the gladiators!
  16. Had a look but can't see the full stretch type A's, only C's Might have missed them though - I'll have another look!
  17. Cheers, I would have them off you if they were just A's. I would die of heat exhaustion in all rounders just working on ground! Get em on ebay, if only worn a few times you willl likely get more for them on there.
  18. Hi Looking for a new pair of stretch airs (not the gladiator ones) type A in medium. Who are selling them off the cheapest do you know of? Busy trawling t'internet and just wondering if you lot know of anyone cheap I might have missed? Cheers Paddy
  19. Valtra still there, still doing Fawlty Towers impressions braying it with branches now and again!! Aye, county is just a skidder so its in for a hard life!
  20. Got it November time. Need any work for it?!
  21. Cheers for replies lads. Turns out starter motor is kaput. Coincidence maybe or may have taken a knock. Whichever, new one on way tomorrow!
  22. If you had asked me earlier I might have! Only thing not checked was solanoid, everything else is is place and looks connected ok . Happened late in day so will have more of a poke around tomorrow though.
  23. Hi Managed to get a large branch jammed between the starter motor and injector pump today , got it out and everything looked ok. Tried to start the county again and the starter motor was for want of a better word only turning half of what it should do. After a bit of swearing and poking around and turning it over, battery went dead after 15 mins and from turning it over in short bursts about 5-6 times . I'm 99% the battery is ok (not that old), alternator is brand new and working ok, and all wires and pipes look as they should be. Am I missing something obvious??! Any help much appreciated!!
  24. They are all terrible! Best thing you could do is get an old nokia, something like the 5110 (?), or put it in truck in morning and leave it there till home time!
