  1. Wouldnt even bother trying with a clearing saw if its that size stuff. Chainsaw, mash it up, walk away, spray next year!!
  2. Berthound - Little bit more expensive but SO much better in every way! The do look a bit 'plastic-ey' but mine have lasted well with no problems over last couple of years.
  3. Have'nt used one, looks too small to be useful on ground. Long bar, 2 hi-lifts and a mell will sort most things out! Only problem with the bigger bars is trying to get them on smaller trees that need a bit of a roll - then again you can shortwood them down easy!!
  4. Er, at risk of being shouted at, technically they are scientific names (not Latin) as they contain both Latin and Greek
  5. I'm from East Yorkshire - reet side of Pennines Got bored of not having enough rain and mud in my life so made the move accross here about 8 year ago. Living near Grange over Sands at the moment...until we finally get rid of this house! Where you at?
  6. Nutty is an understatement! Decided I might just park their cars upside down on that crappy patio with the forwarder anyway, and accidently run over all the dogs on the way out!
  7. Barking dogs driven me mad too. The neighbour on the other side has a fat retriver that constantly barks. Have heard it start up about 5.00am and finish (typically) as I'm dozing off about 10.00pm ish. Its now so fat and lazy its having fits, so fingers crossed......!
  8. Surley someone at EH has to have got the wrong end of the stick, or pulling your plonker???? That is barmey!
  9. know that feeling! We are doing same, house has been on market for a year with just one viewing though. Both sides of neighbours are probably about 90% of the reason for moving too Have you looked at the price of houses in cumbria??!! Having enough trouble convincing the morgage people to lend us for what we have now, nevermind a detatched house or a farm!! It's the same story the country over but in Cumbria it is quite bad.
  10. To be honest my little un does not generally make thay much noise anyway (I'm sure you'll say thats just because i'm his dad etc..). The stone saw is not a reoccuring thing, and I'm not sure about the db's it kicks out but I'm not sure you wouldn't like it 10 yards away from your house!! Should have made it a bit clearer that the saw all in all had been on and off for a couple of hours before (no real problem with that other than general annoyance!) but on a sun night at nearly 8.00??? Also they are generally noisy neighbours... most of the time! Anyway, only started this off to vent off a bit of steam - not to open a can of worms!!
  11. Anybody got any good suggestions... My two year old was in bed by 7.00 last night. Neighbours stone saw started up (Sunday night!) cutting bloody flags for some crap looking patio they are making. I asked politely how long they would be doing this as he's just gone to bed etc.. Next door replied (a bit taken back that I had asked them this) about half hour. 50 mins later they stopped!. By this time my blood was boiling and at risk of being arrested for weilding a 3120 I went to bed. Any suggestions welcomed!
  12. Done...and well done to you too!
  13. At that age you need a quiet evening with a few pints of mild in the local!
  14. Yeah, don't think it will fit down there still, unless you let me loose on a 15 ton 360 for a few hours! Still there, done in a couple of days - Then go back through and thin it Talking of bogs, foulshaw is due to come off very soon - 31k ton ish, get yer (soon to be) toy on there, will keep you busy for a verrrrrry long time
  15. I have 8wd too! all I need is a bit of brash under it
  16. You don't need one of those, you need me with mine - I'll even knock vat off for you!
  17. ....and even harder to earn money out of!
  18. Plenty out there. Most don't bother advertising so it helps to be in the game to get an idea of who's out there. Google 'click-forestry' too, there's some on there aswell.
  19. Any chance you can move it to next weekend??! Won't be able to make this weekend as working now...
  20. Kielder will be a good test! Skin so soft for me. Jungle formula works ok for me too.
  21. Be somewhere where they are not!
