  1. Got the zk2 at the apf cant wait to try it been watching a few vids and had a climb on dans one on a rec climb some time ago . ps if dan curtis or ian flatters are having a rec climb soon i would like a bit of the action this time feel like i really missed out on the last one .
  2. Cheers steve their has not been much talk about them but i can see them being a great boot they look like they will flex well which will be good for me as i do like freedom of movment on reductions:thumbup1:
  3. I tried these on at the apf at fr jones feel really good has any one had a pair for a while i would like to know how they hold up to the work we put them through.

I have a magnolia gradiflora to reduce i reduced this tree 4 years ago it is attached to the front of a house by metal wire bracing the client would like it reduced to take the wait of the wall it is TPO so will have to go light it cant be climbed so im going to use ladders . Any advice on inspecting the braceing would be great as i am worried about the weight of the tree pulling away from the house also it is right on a main rd . Also any pics of jobs like this one would be great .

  12. What would u use arran a prussic or hc or a mechanical device of some sort .

Im ready for my next pair of boots I have a pair of no risk boots which have been great but i fancy a change so I am going to get haix pro light boots which I feel will be lighter than the ones I have at the moment . I don't think the price matters a great deal but just the specific things that the boot offers I will say that in times of rushing the work to be completed anything could happen imo so Im sticking with chainsaw boots and will use standard boots for silky reductions.

  17. That's put my mind at rest as that one has come back well and I will be going lighter than that because of the TPO on this tree . Cheers great help:thumbup:
  18. Im just a bit worried about were to prune back to as it might have to be to nodes instead of to leafy side branches . I have been told like tony said to go light which is what I have alredy put in my quote and what has been agreed by the TO .
  19. I haven't reduced one before has anyone got any pics of there reductions on Quercus ilex as I have one coming up soon and have noticed they haven't got much in the inner crown . Cheers in advance.

  23. I believe I was born to be an arborist I used to climb mature trees when I was a young lad and used to camp under trees with just a sleeping bag and feel that they give me a great energy .
