  1. Just bored and thought i would have a look on arb talk and must have missed this thread WOW the pictures of the Quercus are stunning its amazing what you find when you have a look through old threads .
  2. Excellent i just ID it roughly against some pics as Pleurotus ostreatus i remember MR croft spotted it on the fungi event.Ps can't wait for this years one.
  3. long shot here might be oyster fungus i don't know the Latin and im sure someone will be along in a mo.
  4. yeah i kind of wish i had after i had finished but time was against me .On the willow i was so pleased not to snap anything out with my own body weight i reduced this one because of the bank and also we had removed a branch on a call out before the reduction .The guy next door said he wanted it removed because of the lean i told him the tree will be adapting to the lean and the reduction will help further also self optimization /uniform stress was going through my head but could not string it all together and kept it simple .

  7. LOL no the builders were using it for an area on the trench were trees had been removed just old stump roots on that section on the other areas i used silky root pruner and secateurs .
  8. found some Laetiporus sulphureus on an old oak tree in my favorite woodland I was up the tree in about 3 .And here are some others from that day also.

No worries mate happy to learn as David says i should try harder with the spelling for my own professional growth in the industry i am going to take maths and English again with a private teacher before i take my level 4 .Cheers tony i now from your way of looking at it its not all about qualifications and is about thinking outside the box.Ps until i sort myself out you will have to lump it lol but will strive to do better.

  15. My plan is to use ply boards next to the trench and a screen of tarps outside the area to catch stones.Im going to wear my stein hardhat withface mask and goggles.
  16. I have got a lightweight waterproof with a hood cheers i didn't think of that .

Strange day today i have been tryingout a airspade i have got to use it tomorrow to root prune in a trench for foundations for a small building in the clients garden .I had a little go on a old prunus in my bosses garden and after mixed the soil with some compost to backfill .I would be greatfull for any further advice on useing the machine and any links /pics.cheers in advance:thumbup:

  19. yeah definitely phelinus it was on the failed central leader or limb in the center of the tree i picked them off to have look their wasn't many but with the poor crown i see it being a concern for the future .
  20. My idea for the tree TO was to fell and replant when he came to look at the trees in the garden he was about 15 meteres from the tree ?????? but never looked at it close up

Prunus passardii with phellinus tuberculosus FB s in the bowl of the crown .Tree should have been rejected at nursery stage because of poor form IMO but TO wants the tree to remain .I did see anouther thread that said the tree is likely to shed a branch or two or maybe endup like a pole ? .Just wondered what you thought about the bodylanguage of this one .
