  1. yeah i now but i need a longer strop for my saw thats why i had it on there ow well saw is fixed now lesson learnt .
  2. how very dare you right i challenge you to a speed climb on the 4.

Had a bit of a shock today i was dead wooding a large oak today and as i swang out to the next limb my chainsaw got stuck in a limb behind me i had the saw linked on the red rope part that is next to the red ring on the back of my harness it broke away and my saw fell to the ground splitting the tank open .
  4. You did not make your self sound like a muppet but he is right about the if its not broke don't fix it geko is a good rope i have changed to the aris because it works nice with the hc set up my groundie loves the geko with his blakes.
  5. I can see where your coming from but hse would not like it if they found us climbing in rock harneses but if you are self employed and working for your self then its a good money saver .

  7. Hi mate there is a rec climb on the 4 of Feb its with Dan arbaholic he did a thread on here about it the more the better type rec climb on search.

  8. We have a skylotec also and i use it for rigging i believe it is king for this it holds a big saw very well tree motion for reduction though that's were it comes into its own league. Was looking at the petzl s and it did come very close second. Hope you are well by the way i will be staying in the UK but considering nz for the future if my wife had her way we would be there now.
  9. Loving my tree motion stays comfortable all day.Loving the side ds on the leg loops you can get some good work position with them.

  11. Also trying to explain that it will take many more visits to get the best results.Priced a beech today and the guy wanted it pollarded that's where it all begins i talked him into a reduction.

  19. Cheers for all the help from everyone at fr Jones and all the bits i got today.ps wicked shop loved the shopping trolley idea and drinks machine also the try before you buy climbing area.

I have had mine for a couple of weeks i find you have to pull a lot of rope down before you pull the slack out and it hurts your arms until you get in the bowl.I am getting used to it now and think a petzl foot acender will help with the first part of the climb i use a distal and it locks nice every time.Guy at fr Jones showed me how if you add another strope you can pull from under the knot.
  21. Got the tree motion today at fr Jones after nearly buying the petzl cheers for advice. Ow and yes i was asking about what model of komet. :rock:
