  1. Some nice work there Jay. What's the electrical tape on saw handle for?
  2. Honeys do have some similar stuff, made by liros I believe. Not listed on the site though. About 3.50 a metre, got some on tachyon, runs nice but I still think armor prus is better and harder wearing.
  3. Think he wrapped it round himself??
  4. Good work, I tend to start at the top then work out to the shoulders and follow the shape round from there. On smaller trees I'll leave a lot of lower branches untouched and just do them off the A frame/lopper head.
  5. I thought the new one looked 'cheap'

    New MS661

Yeah it is Jon. He hasn't had any problems with it, lovely saw to use.

    New MS661

My mate has a pre 'recall' one and it's great, feels more 'pokey'.
  8. Yeah I've seen them on there and they seem a reasonable price, just worried I'd get screwed over on import tax or some such. Also be nice to pick some up next week at the show
  9. I thought I read in another thread that one of the main dealers would have some of these, spliced up, at the APF this year. I could have just made this up or wishful thinking, anyone else hear that?
  10. Halio ladders are great, adjustable foot is very handy
  11. I worked for a landscaper a few years ago who did the exact same thing and took the tips off two fingers and it was his wife working the levers! Hope it heals quick.
  12. Put some pics up if you can and i'll see if it's the same as our bollard. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

  16. In the winter I have a merino long sleeve base layer, t shirt, lightweight fleece, large full zip regatta fleece and if I'm still cold then I'm not working hard enough! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. They've certainly had some use! I'd just get some more, I've seen and heard quite a few people with haix coming apart after 6 months or less, not that I'm saying that's the case for all haix boots! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. Ascending with the RR and HAAS looks pretty effortless. Those boots look great. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

  22. I've got Monday 7th July free. Tickets up to 41, climbing kit plus saws. Here's some pics, apologies if they're on their side. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Can't see it that well on my phone but I've definitely seen worse. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Cheers, the pics are deceiving. Looks like I gave it a tickle but a lot of the cuts were 8" plus. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. Had this beech to do today. Had permissions for upto 4m reduction. It had a few old big snapped out limbs and generally looked in poor health, possible kreutz (spelling?) at base but no pics I'm afraid. Still got a bit to do on the sides out the back and over the drive. The bit sticking up in the middle is a big limb coming out from further down, that will be brought right in when we come back. Based on my rope length (or lack of it! ) the tree was 26m ish. My biggest overall tree reduction to date I'd say. Apologies if the pics are wrong way up!
