  1. saws are in the cab, keep them on their side. the fuel can goes in the bed though.
  2. i have a nissan np300 kingcab. i'd recommend a kingcab anyday. safe tool storage with no modification and a bigger tub for transporting stuff than a double cab.
  3. hi i have an np300, which is just a D22 chassis navara. i use this site alot for info. found how to fit my bullbars, electric wiring for the spots, fit a snorkel... its all on there.... Home
  4. i find them great, first pair lasted about 2 years and never let a drip of water in, second pair now just bedded in and comfortable. never much bothered waxing or anything and never had a wet foot. i climb in them all the time.
  5. hi guys my colleague has a minidigger, a case cx16b and half way through a job the left track reduction gearbox has packed up. he has not had it long and as we serviced it we found the gearbox to be totaly dry. however it was to late as the other day it jamed. when we took the cover off we found 2 of the planetery gears had broken totaly. so my problem, where can we get a gearbox, or just the planetery setup for Inside it as the outside gear teeth on it are ok? the trackmotor is still good. or maybe a reconditioned one from a breaker? i just dont have the contaccts for this type of machine. cheers in advance for any help
  6. here is my sign and show set-up.
  7. a friends 261 was doing this, cutting out when brake applied.... turned out to be boken clutch spring/s. changed them and it ran fine.
  8. My NP300, which is the same as the D22 model nivara is rated for a 3T trailer.
  9. not sure about the engine, but the shape looks like a rebadged Renault. here in france the Opels look the same. like the Renault Master.
  10. that mic looks dangerous..... could poke someones eye out with that! haha!
  11. must have been a day for it today! i lost (nearly) the wheel off my timberwolf 125 today! the wheel bearings collapsed. luckly my team where in the van following and spotted it on rhe way to todays job. we where able to trailer it home after finishing the job.
  12. i have an np300, had it a year now and its run really well, i got a kingcab, just enough space for the kit in the cab and a decent load in the back.
  13. the collage does smaller 3 to 5 day courses. i was booked onto one for a climbing ticket last year but they managed to book me onto the wrong course and the one i wanted had already passes. i'll be looking into it again this year. last year the courses where between about 400 and 900euro, depending on the course. Le Gros Chêne - Pontivy - Etablissement Public Local de l'Enseignement Agricole - Lycée, Centre de formation professionnelle, Exploitation agricole, sections sportives : football et Canoë KayakSommaire > Le Centre de formation > Secteurs d'act but yes you would need a good level of french to do one of these courses.
  14. hi i know of a lycée in Pontivy in bretagne (56) that do climbing and chainsaw courses. though that is a long way from you. you could also ask your MSA office if they have any courses organised in your area as they do run them sometimes for free. you dont get a certificat but you do get some useful knowledge. with your MSA you are granted 8hours per year towards doing a payed certificat (formation) this accumulates year on year.
  15. thats an amazing tree! and glad to see its not only me that has self-knotting throw line!!
  16. We do hedges too and we chip nearly all the waste, sometimes, especialy with big laurel reductions we chip it back into the hedgeline, nice and tidy and no rubbish off-site..... but to save the chipper blades, get yourself a few tarps, lay these along the ground at the side of the hedge and drop all clippings onto it.... then you can jsut drag/carry the tarp to the chipper and scoop the clippings into it... no stone, no raking and (especialy with conifer) no mess.
  17. myself i have a stein rc1000 and we also work with a rc2000. i find them both great and easy to use. they are both around the £100 mark, just under and just over... honestly i dont see how you can beat that. but good luck to him.
  18. myself, if there is a free postage from a price limit, i'll always order upto or over it if i can, that way i'm well stocked up and sometimes will add something that i dont really need but think it might be useful from time to time if it gets me over the limit... however as i live in france but order alot in the uk, i cant always have it delivered to a uk address for someone to bring over for me... so i get stung by the postage to here, which sometimes is very expencive. can you try and find a cheaper service to europe please? Interlink shipping do a 48H service, upto 31.5KG parcel for just £12. paying £12 on a £100 or more order is acceptable i find but i've found befor that for under £50 of order there is a £20 postage charge..... meaning i dont order...
  19. i've finnaly got a truck!! i've had a belingo van for 5years now and its been very good to be honest but its limited in size and where you can go with it... so i have finaly taken the step and got a truck. its a Nissan NP300, they are re-engined models of the old style nevara. its nice and simple with few electrics but i find it comfortable.
  20. yes! i run one and its a great little machine. keep the blades sharp and its almost as quick as a 150dh with the added advantage that you can push it around easier. in-fact i've even winched mine up a set of steps into and then down, back out, of a garden! i did a days job chipping for a big contracter, who normaly runs a 12" chipper on a tractor but as the job was far from his base he got me in for the day, he acturly laughed when i turned up with it but soon praised it when we got into action!!
  21. i dont have a picture, but my better half made choc chip cookies today!! Mmmmm....
  22. i've had a 201T since befor christmasz and i'm very pleased with it. i've not used a 200T as i had a 192T befor so cant compare the two. my colligue said it doesnt rev up the same as the 200T, its a little slower but i've been told this is a modification made to save the carb.... the 200T having had alot of problems with that i belive, i know someone with a 200T who has had 2 carbs in 3 years of using the saw. so if we have to put up with a saw that revs just a little slower to start but doesnt need a new carb fitting at regular intivals, i see this as a good thing.
  23. i cant get in either, the chat room says i've logged in then it freezes my web browser and i cant do anything other than re-start it.....
  24. i got a ticket yesterday, being a first time, where do i find my number? i'm in france but if i won anything i have a uk address i can use.
  25. hi i have a 125 and my colligue has a 150. if you have to ever use the chipper on your own, then i would go for the 125, everytime. the 150 haas that bit more grunt but the 125 is so much more movable and you notice the diffrence in towing behind the van too. at a recent job we had to winch the chipper through some gates and up 6 steps into the garden above the road, i wouldnt like to even try with the 150, but we did it ok with the 125. in terms of chipping, as already said, keep it sharp and you will chip up almost as quick as a 150. on bigger stuff the anti stress does kick in a little more often but if the chipper is next to the fell rather than in the driveway it saves the drag. it is also narrower than the 150 so passes through smaller allys. hope it helps
