  9. Didn't mean to sound like an arse, just winching is one of the more hazardous things we undertake, I'd be happier doing it alone if I know I can get hold of someone fast if it goes tits up, not being wet, just covering bases
  10. Yes there is a middle ground, you are right when you say useless workers exist, but it's just as easy to pay good workers well by cutting back on management/CEO types salaries/ bonuses as well as weeding out blagging on the tools types

  12. If you are doing solo winching operations, make sure you've got good signal on your phone and have it on you at all times!
  13. Might be a bit harsh there, IMO he was fully aware of the real world but had a set of ideals which were never going to fit in it ( sadly some might say).
