  1. Thanks mate, appreciated, the Chas thing just seems a lot more attainable, my paperwork/ h+s policy is dreadful! Been in touch with a company that can sort all that side out of it for me including Chas registration for £750, which seems reasonable, once that's in place it'll be a good stepping stone to AAAC.
  2. I'd quite like to be arb approved and think the standard of work me and the team produce would easily qualify, my business/paperwork side of things not so much! Going to go down the CHAS route I think,
  3. Yeah, I feel a modest pay rise coming on.
  4. Yes mate, getting the hang of this pointing and 'looking at jobs this afternoon' lark!

  6. Big poplar removal, dismantled by the young apprentice. Only finished college in May. Impressed.
  7. I was a bit underwhelmed when I got my 360 a couple of weeks back but after 10 tanks through it and spark arrestor removed I'm impressed now. Only just behind a 201 for cutting speed, is lighter and seems more robust
  8. Was it parked just off the road leading up to the a30? Saw it there a couple of weeks back, pretty brazen of them if so
  9. Similar here, I don't have a day rate as such, it's whamming loads of little jobs in one day that I like, did an £800 day with just me and the groundie a week or two back, easy little jobs. Then last week was £550 between 3 of us on a gruelling day. Swings and roundabouts! TBH I'm through with the glory jobs, I still enjoy them but passed the stage of pricing to win them
  10. Ive been happy with imori/zigzag combo for a few years now, that said I haven't tried a different rope with the zigzag so maybe I don't know what I'm missing?

I'll put a few more tanks through it, it's not bad bad just lacks a bit of top end pep, love my tiny echo, revs it's bollox off, I'm sure this one will catch up!

  14. Ten years ago I was a subby climber on £100 a day, these days when I very rarely freelance climb for others it's £150.
  15. Yea, my mewp is registered special vehicle, but I run on white, saves grief and if your not covering the difference in price by running that vehicle for work you might as well give up!
  16. Cheriton fitzpaine? Sam? No different lorry, same spec
  17. Don't get me started on silage contractors! Think there's nothing more important than driving flat out down the lanes my missus does the school run on cos can't hold the forager up! Arrrgh!
  18. Another West Deaner! I grew up there, on the vineyard.
  19. I ran a 4x4 Bedford with winch and grab, was a brilliant tool but just didn't come out that often, i wish I'd kept it now, got a run of jobs it would of been perfect for
  20. Has anyone got any turf tyres on rims to fit a kubota b6000? 6 stud rear 4 stud front preferably but can adapt 6 stud fronts if needs be. Cheers
  21. I've gone from full time freelance climber to running my own show with freelancers, seems to be ticking along nicely. I've also started on breaking bad, seems like easy money!!!
  22. I'm not criticising per se, just saying that being clever is not necessarily a pre requisite for getting a long way in politics! Mr Johnson is no fool, but I doubt he'd be foreign secretary without the start in life he has had. I'm trying not to sound chippy or class war but it's just the way I see it.
  23. The thing is with his start in life, connections, education, old boys network etc you can be thick as [emoji200][emoji90]and still reach the top, he was 3/4 of the way there at birth.
  24. I can't wait to get my hands on this saw, it could be one of the biggest advancements in the industry in a while
