  1. The camp in Bury-st Ed's was the same, every plot had its own brick built shower/toilet and washing up room, they wrecked it in no time, stole the copper, striped the tiles off the roofs, that's what happens when it's an open gate camp. There are two more camps up the road in Mildenhall that have a gypsy 'landlord' that live on site and they are spotless, why all councils didn't put a 'landlord' on their camps is beyond. I hasten to say there isn't a camp in B-St-Ed's anymore.
  2. Thanks, yes I will be clear from the outset. I think I might just contact the agent on Monday and see what they say, if it's going to be a pain I'll give it a miss. I will definitely run it by a solicitor before I sign anything👍
  3. I've only just seen the advert never mind a tenancy agreement, I know it can be done, a fella I worked for sublet part of his unit. I thought I'd ask her before contacting him on Monday.
  4. Brilliant, Shut most of the camps then prosecute people for being roadside, makes perfect sense! Some folk might not like them but they are here to stay, years ago some councils used to find a respected member of the traveling cummunity to run camps, in fact I pulled in one in Northampton a few moths back, unfortunately lots of councils left the gates open then wondered why the places were used to flytip and much worse.
  5. No, what are the changes?
  6. Anyone got any advice on subletting a rented commercial property, there is a property (semidetached house) that was last a dental surgery. I don't need the building, just the bit that was the car park. I dont want to ask the agent without knowing a bit about how it works.
  7. I may be wrong but Khan called a meeting with Dick, it was Dick's duty to tell Patel the meeting was called. She chose to fall on her sword instead. So I might have been a bit quick off the mark but if protocol had been followed the Home Secretary would have been aware, But Dick obviously didn't fancy that.
  8. If Russia get stuck into Ukraine (which I don't think/hope they will) we will have to get involved and Sanction them, then the brown stuff will hit the spiny round thing. How long is 'fast tracking'?
  9. Ya reckon he'd pull that stunt without consulting Patel, Johnson et al? These people speak to each other in a civilised way behind the scenes. I don't think he could pull it off on his own, no conspiracy, I just don't thinks it's possible. Wasn't Dicks contract extended by two years just recently which Khan backed?
  10. That must be a extremely tall building, or those trees are nowhere near 60'.
  11. Call PH Pumps and ask for Gary in the workshop, if he can't sort it he'll know who can.
  12. Is on her way then, Khan seems to be the scapegoat, but did he run it by Patel first is my question.
  13. Learnt something again.
  14. I didn't know there was a fixed time, @AHPP didn't that site opposite your parents place get a 07:30 start through the week and 08:O0 start on a weekend when the groundworkers were in?
  15. When I lived in bricks my nextdoor neighbours sons were tree surgeons the older one bought a TW when he first started, being green he didn't check it out. It was only when he tried to chop it in for a new chipper he found out it was nicked. Costly mistake.
  16. No, but I'm trying other herbs.
  17. The hand that plays me up the most I smashed up at work about 15 years ago, the cold weather always brings the pain on.
  18. Im not going to name him, but chasing work to keep the lads going. Poor business.
  19. Years back I bought kindling off a member here, he had what was basically a flywheel that was powered by an electric motor, it was lethal, but he cut a fair amount of kindling with it, how he kept his fingers is a miracle.
  20. I understand where you are coming from and due to the way I live I have to watch how I use energy, what do folks do when it's raining and the kids school uniform needs washing and drying for the morning? Life for some folk isn't as easy as you make it sound.
  21. Pens and the likes, what else you thought I meant is beyond me...
  22. Dr Bullman, thanks for the advice. I'll take this forward with me. Being serious, I can hold a mug, trying to hold something small is the problem...
  23. I've not looked at it yet, what with my busy schedule n all. Why is it band?
  24. Les you know it isn't that easy, I'm not trying to put a downer on it but come up against a big job/tree and it's easily fecked up... on day three of what you thought was a 2 day job you are on the phone pushing other work back whilst paying contractors/ staff another days money. You need to know what you are doing to price a job, even with years of experience we all still get it wrong from time to time
  25. Thank ya, I'll look into Borax.
