  1. The rigours and torments, I honestly don’t know how you cope with the stress and anxiety.
  2. Never in the history of man!
  3. You rebel.
  4. Go on then, give us your opinion. Mine is only a guess.
  5. This is near my flat, they call it an apartment these days🤣 Many stories surround it, from a place that lead to a pub where crooks were taken via a tunnel to a pub for their last drink before they were hung at the local church, to a priest hole. What you reckon? If it’s any help the road it is on is called Canal Street.
  6. A recent thread got me thinking how far do you travel, not the overseas lads, you tree surgeons. I used to do easily 200-250 miles a day from the Suffolk/Essex border up to the North Norfolk coast, much more time travelling than grafting but just as tiring. What’s your distance from base? I sub for a franchise know so the travel is restricted by the area we can cover which is much better in my mind as I don’t enjoy driving anymore.
  7. If it is I give up, you can throw a 🎾 from south Norfolk to Stow.
  8. Steve Bullman, know of anything that way?
  9. Retired Climber?
  10. I’d jump at that if I was a young groundsman, gardener.
  11. This simply isn’t correct, good subbies around here are making good money, many of them young lads, they are prepared to travel an hour each way, if not more. There are lads on here who travel all over the country and earn decent money, they get paid for their skills. If you/they want to earn good hard cash they may have to put the leg work in.
  12. good staff. Whether that be PAYE or freelance will always earn good money, employers (most) know when they are on a good thing and pay to keep those people. I can freelance in for decent money in the Midlands because my ‘boss’ knows if it can be sorted I’ll sort it, if not I’ll diagnose the problem and sort when parts are available. If he’s paying me £350/day I bet my van he’s charging me out at £500+\day.
  13. Authorities, charities have always paid less than the private sector due to the perks you get, company van, phone, fuel card, sick pay, amount of holidays and historically a decent pension. When I worked for an authority the money was average, I made decent money out of it because I was willing/needed to put the overtime in. Unfortunately lots of those perks have gone and the salary hasn’t risen.
  14. Depends on what kind of work you do, most of my work is contracting and some companies want my van to turn up plain on their jobs so I use magnetic signs, I put them on when I’m doing my own jobs, or when I’m not working. I got mine locally, I went and spoke to the bloke about what I wanted at about 10.00 o’clock and at 14.00 he rang me to say they were ready for collection.
  15. Ffs, how many times do you need telling, that isn’t going to happen. Get in the real world ya daft ole fecker.
  16. I’m not sure you are right about her not having her say, look at other mass murders who’ve kicked off during sentencing in our lifetime.
  17. Hey up trig, I’ll try again, under current law she would be led away for contempt, you know like I know ‘we’ aren’t going to muzzle/spit hood people during sentencing, maybe in the street but not during sentencing. I’m sure you also know she won’t be put on a mens wing, when in a cat C the wing got shutdown for 4 days when four cat A’s were being transferred, can you imagine the whole wing being locked down full time for a cat A female.
  18. Ok, perhaps I should have made it more clear, as the law on sentencing stands do you think people should be forced into the dock, bearing in mind they can rant and rave all the way through, sentencing in cases like the above can take hours. I’m not sure if nutters should be forced into the dock where they can carry on plaguing the victims families. How do you feel about it? Bearing in mind if she gets ‘done’ for contempt she can’t get any more bird.
  19. You certainly can tell me, more than happy to learn from people who know a job better than me. I’ve only very limited experience trying to weld and it didn’t turn out well, I’m the same with spray painting, just can’t get the knack of it, yet I can plaster which in my mind is a similar process… steady and equal, if that makes sense?
  20. I got to muzzle them and lost the will to live, never will it happen. With that in mind should people who CAN shout and rant from the dock in front of families of victims be forced into the dock? Lets not get on about what you think, let’s talk about how things stand now.
  21. Les,,dear boy, she can’t get more than a whole life sentence, now imagine this, a terrorist gets lead to the dock and stands there ranting and raving in their own language in front of their victims family, would that be ok? Our laws don’t stop people shouting from the dock while they are being sentenced. I don’t think you’ve thought this through. Personally I’m not sure if wrong’uns should be made to appear for.sentencing, just a question to see what others think.
  22. The nurse Letby who killed numerous children refused to turn up for sentencing, she knew she was going to be lifed off for the rest of her life so does it matter? What can/should be done to make her listen to the judges sentence, it’s not like she would suffer more for contempt? Thoughts?
  23. You’re not the only one, Although I’m fairly good on the tools welding is one of those jobs I’ve never been able to master.
  24. The boat prices are extortionate, I’m not sure if it was you?, but someone told me it is the most expensive stretch of water in Europe to cross.
  25. He doesn’t bother me, I do think he’s a tw@t though, why shouldn’t he be called out ‘if’ he’s using multiple usernames to p1ss people off? It’s been mentioned in the past that members treat this like a pub full of locals, why let someone who thinks they are smart upset the peace?
