  1. We all know that there is a generation that made massively out of this lifetime, I think they were known as baby boomers, some drew a wage from the state for many years, they also draw tidy pensions from the state, (admittedly they contributed to it) much more than some people earn for putting in todays graft. If you’ve got the money you should pay for your scripts. As much of a lefty I am I’m sick of people milking the system then blaming everyone else for it’s downfall. People with pensions that outweigh everyday wages getting free meds, I ask ya.
  2. £52k a year in meds and you think your NI contribution will cover that for how long? You’ve taken from the national purse for how long? while no doubt drawing a fecking great pension. Beggars belief that people like this post.
  3. I went to the doctor, he sent me to the nurse for bloods, went back to see the doctor on his request, another appointment to see the nurse for more bloods, high iron in my blood, shocking considering I drink most evenings! Apart from that nothing to report. Winter flu bug about?
  4. We shall never surrender, unless we get a heavy chesty cough.
  5. I’ve had the cough for weeks, probably closer to Two months. Had two lots of blood tests, nothing showing up.
  6. Absolutely lashing it down, do I walk to the pie shop or not. Hmm.
  7. It took a moment!
  8. My mind boggles,,surely if you, we, are working we should pay for our scripts? I realise that will bring out the, dole fodder get them paid for, but honestly, how many of those people do you know?
  9. RIP Benjamin Zephania, one of the best songwriters, poets, musicians of the modern day. Stop De War.
  10. S’wat happens in the winter months, Rich. I have thought about importing some and also the water heaters. Not sure if I want a 10’ container full of them and not being able to move them on quickly enough though.
  11. Unless I’m reading it wrong, one has Bluetooth, the other doesn’t.
  12. Try again with a link that works. https://amzn.to/46NajxK
  13. Nothing’s changed then, to get dole, or whatever it’s called these days you have to be actively seeking work, and need to prove it. The problem with the welfare state is ‘we’ve’ left massive swathes of the country to fall into disrepair, so people end up on the ‘sick’. I’ve watched it around the yard I’m renting in a deprived part of Stoke over the last few weeks. It seems most are on the sick with mental Ill health and drink/drug addiction. Strange world.
  14. The one Mark J has posted a link to.
  15. For what they cost and price of spares they are a no brainer, when there is a Hcalory 2kw available I’ll be getting one for my box, their 5kw is overkill for my box.
  16. Facebook page called, Chinese diesel heaters UK have a tried and tested YouTube channel. I’m not telling you anymore what I think you’d be best off with.
  17. Have that! Welcome to Cheshire…
  18. A 5kw will heat an un insulated double garage no problem, the one you posted is a 5kw rebadged as 8kw, there are very few genuine 8kw heaters about. The genuine 8’s are almost double the physical size of the 5kw heaters.
  19. Perfectly legal to run on red, why anyone would bother though is beyond me, they run better/cleaner on kerosene which is a lot cheaper than red.
  20. Still got to be a Chinese diesel heater, run it on Kerosene, about 70ppl last I bought. Turn it on from the comfort of your armchair, instant heat. What’s not to like for less than 200 notes.
  21. Forget gas, mega thirsty. When I was heating my box with It I’d get through a 47kg bottle about every 10 days in the winter,
  22. Trust me on this one, Mark. Get a Hcalory 5kw with Bluetooth, one of the only Chinese heaters that have a proper thermostat that actually turns the heater off when it reaches temperature and turns it back on when it’s needed, most Chinese heaters don’t have this function, they ramp down but don’t turn off. For a workshop I’d mount it outside and duct air intake as to recirculate heated air rather than pulling cold air in.
  23. Walked along the cut this morning to visit a mate who had a hip replacement 3 weeks ago and it was cold but glorious, got on a stretch of the Trent and Mersey known as, Windy bend, they weren’t wrong in naming that stretch, I’m guessing but I reckon it knocked 5 degrees off the temperature for a mile or so.
