  1. Brilliant innit, 'we've' proved nothing more than people don't need to be out n about so much.
  2. Probably won't need the space but will be in contract to pay for it?
  3. It made me laugh this morning, the Minister of BS was talking about this extra £13/week on top of their other benefiits for those people who have to quarantine on return to the country. Nick Ferrari had to remind him that working people would also be quarantined on £13/day, Minister BS didn't have an answer.
  4. I'll have another go at this, working back to front. Lots of the virus debt is 100% covered by government money atm Of course it's all conflicting look who's in charge (I shouldn't need to add this...Not Tory bashing) If you and I sat round a table all night drinking beer we would talk more sense (proven). I think that's your second paragraph covered. I daren't give you my idea of what should change in your first paragraph incase trigg pops by.
  5. Not damage the boat per se, it will scrape the blacking off the hull meaning it will have to come out of the water more often (costly) to get re-blacked. I have broke ice when I've had to... read... when there was a young lady involved. I wouldnt walk down the driveway these days for the same thing.
  6. I over wintered there the first year I had a boat, near Audlem Wharf on the main line. It was a bastard winter that opened my eyes to boating, I was frozen in for ten weeks.
  7. Yes mate, a good while back but a damn good pub.
  8. The thing is some folk seem to think it's a pisser because it suits their political agenda, some times I think these people are quite level headed and reasonable, other times I'm sure I could see Cornwall from Suffolk via Scotland through their ears.
  9. You missed out personal allowance, my brother paid people £100k+ a year, he's a chartered accountant. When you understand how it works come back to me.
  10. I realise that.
  11. No, I didn't mean anything like that, although I do agree that people getting back to 'normal' would save the economy. I still don't believe the 1% are propping up the economy, lots of people are/were furloughed, lots weren't, we all share the burden. Try not to get on ya anti lefty propaganda it makes you sound like a tit, let's stick to what to do next. What this virus as shown is lots of people can maintain their productivity while working from home which in turn is harming other parts of the economy. 4 people earning £25k a year pay the same tax if not more than 1 person earning £100k a year. Things might change when those people who've been working from home through the summer have to start putting the lights and heating on all day and pay for it out of their own pockets?
  12. All right here Kev, you know me - keep me head down. The Croft (popular area) next to the river as been swarming with old bill since yesterday.
  13. The Government have realised that instilling fear in people as really fecked up, companies and their staff have realised that people don't need to get on public transport every morning, grab a Costa and a newspaper on the way to the office. Lots of people can work from home and inadvertently kill the rest of the economy so they are trying to fool people back to work, do the thick feckers think people haven't been working as productively from home?, before long companies will realise they don't need big offices in town because their staff don't need to be there to do their job so, to try to get people out again they are telling people to wear a face covering and get back out spending.
  14. Not yet Les, I'm trying to workout how to drive this new poxy phone. It'll end up back in it's box until I can find a teenager that knows how the bleeding thing works.
  15. What will utility be paying for?
  16. And... If that don't finish'em off a Mutant Algorithm will.
  17. That's what people said when Thalidomide was questioned, that went well.
  18. I said this earlier, brilliant bit of kit. There's one on eBay ATM for £350. @Dilz if you go down this route don't get one that goes on the jokey wheel, they're rubbish.
  19. Fit a battery and a Caravan motor mover for not a lot of money, stand still and press buttons. Jobs a good'un.
  20. Possibly, if I had to get it off I'd get it off. I'd rather give someone twenty quid and have done with it mind.
  21. You don't really need a forklift that would take less than a minute to offload it if you've got 3 hours to feck about getting it on the deck. I've better things to do with my time.
  22. How ya going to offload it?
  23. I haven't got a vaccination coming, I'll let the others try it first. I know tons of countries are working together on this, which hopefully will speed things up, but I'm not going for it early on. I've kept away from folk when it suits me, sat mainly outside pubs, and BBQ's, wore a covering since asked, but not, if not. That includes signs on shop doors, their shop, their rules. I guess I'll carry on the same.
  24. You willing to travel @Matthew Storrs? The last two working cockers I had, I had off a gamekeeper. Out of 5 Spaniels I've had, both Cockers and Springers these two were by far the best dogs, both temperament and working. And nowhere near £2k, iirc the first one cost me £800, and the second a grand... I'd not heard about lockdown forcing up prices, no wonder so many are being nicked around here. I've not seen hide nor hair of the old boy due to lockdown but I'd be happy to ask him what's about if you don't mind a journey from far West to far East
