  1. I'm going to do nothing apart from wait to hear how it gets delivered. If it does come on a tail lift I can't believe, (well I can) they didn't ask if you had a way to offload it your end.
  2. As @monkeybusiness says there is no reason that that can't go on a tail lift, I'd almost bet that that's how it arrives.
  3. Ask friends someone must have or know of a fork truck or loader. I've also been known to walk the local industrial estate knocking doors, always been able to sort a lift one way or 'tother. Edit: last pallet I had lifted was by a local farmer with a tractor loader with a set of forks £20.
  4. You're right there, boating is an expensive hobby. Someone once told me boat stands for Bring Out Another Thousand.
  5. You forgot to mention you talked me into getting rid of a kidney to hire one at the end of September.
  6. I'd guess with it being a hire boat it's no more than 10 years old, it needs out of the water to be re-blacked but that probably won't happen until the end of the season. Trad stern but with that big hatch it looks more like a semi-trad.
  7. I have a square box thing that projects sound, I don't need to look at it mind.
  8. Is this something people do with a TV?
  9. Unless you get upto Audlham, it used to take me hours to get through the flight on my own. When I first got a boat I was told by the fella I got it off there was no rush.
  10. Who's going to police the sale of logs?
  11. Did you get that straight out of the Daily Fail?
  12. The Shroppie is a weird but great cut. I learnt how to moore on springs there, it's one of the only canals that is tidal, well sort of, it takes the water from The Mersey and The Manchester Ship canal, water levels rise and fall like no other canal. Grab some pictures. slack ropes.
  13. Come on @TIMON no pictures it didn't happen.
  14. Missed this, if a four man crew is needed I'll get some pictures for trig.
  15. Out of the few I had I my last garden two were a lot worse than that and still yielded a good crop, I had a local bloke in to prune them each winter.
  16. Ten years ago I was buying in round wood for £55/ton delivered and selling at £100/m2, there wasn't any money in it then. Give it a miss, plenty of easier ways to make a living.
  17. I've got an older brother I turn to in those times, not the same but I've not known much different. My old man died when I was young.
  18. Is that not worse? People were told what would happen, two lots that weren't worth a light mind.
  19. Don't torture yourself bud, it's one of them!
  20. It's a fecker @Stubby mum had it, a good strong woman, matriarch, we couldn't do owt with it. Sorry bud.
  21. Used to kick the streets with Levi little, he was known as Smally in the hood.
  22. I'm gutted you didn't pick me.
  23. Keep on keeping on, it's hard splitting with a long time partner even if it is on good terms.
  24. Excellent pitch, is that a septic tank under the tin cover?
  25. I'm looking forward to having a go, and Paul coming down to show me the ropes is a bonus before I go and spend any money.
