  1. No I'm not the pressure washing police, it just happens to bring in about a third of my income, and I've been doing it as a sideline for ten years. Now down to the truth, I've met Phil on quite a few occasions he's probably one of the most professional driveway cleanersrestorers in the country. Most of his work is around Bromley in Kent, he does stray into London now and then, he's on a similar rate as me, yet you up in Scotland are charging double what we are getting down here. My machine produces twice as much flow as Phil's machine, he does about 180 m2/day I do about 220m2 in 6 hours. here is Phil's pricing structure. Cleaning Price Guide - Driveway & Patio Cleaning, Bromley Kent DIRTYDRIVE-AWAY.CO.UK Driveway, Patio and Decking Cleaning Price Guide. Prices from just £40.00. Serving Bromley, Beckenham and most of... Tell me how you are drawing £4/meter up there when lads in London are in at £3/m2?
  2. How many meters a day, what's the flow and pressure of your machine?
  3. What do you charge per square meter on pressure washing? What sand are you using?
  4. Funny ain't it, many of us disagree out loud but don't get out of our prams.
  5. And this is where you go wrong, I've not disagreed with your business model. In fact I think it should work if you have a trusted team who you can skim off the top of. I never called you a knob, what's with the aggression?
  6. It looks the right shape for a 20 plate Vauxhall Combo Sportive, only know because a mate got one a few weeks back. Can you find the registered keeper? No idea. I'd guess it will be a crime number, then left between you and your insurance company.
  7. Nothing would surprise me!
  8. I'm glad it wasn't just me.
  9. Can't help, sorry this is what I get by entering the postcode.
  10. I don't know what's different yet, I've sent an email to ask the question. This is City and Guilds now, used to be CITB. I'll ask about upskilling.
  11. Yes I agree with this, my point is why two days. It's always been a 3rd of the day H+S, a 3rd crawling about i chambers replicating a total failure of lighting and loss of comms with the rescue team and a third of the day doing the written test. What is day two going to cover?
  12. My Confinded Space ticket is about to expire so today I've looked at booking the usual one day refresher course that three years ago cost £220 inc VAT. Unfortunately this isn't the case now, its now a two day course at just short of £500 inc VAT. So for the 20-odd years I've been in the industry it's been a one dayer and I'm still alive, now it's two days and not far off £300 more. Robbing bar stewards. Who makes this crap up?
  13. Nutter, nothing more, nothing less.
  14. Lovely pitch.
  15. Water Fed Pole window cleaning is a secret? It must be 20 years old.
  16. Where there's muck there's brass.
  17. Many years ago about here someone was taking a big tractor out with flail for £27/hour. At the same time our window cleaner used to park on my drive and clean three bungalows, he'd do all three in an hour... £15 a go = £45/hour on those properties. who's got it right?
  18. You MUST understand?, I think she should rot where she is, but that ain't how it works.
  19. European Court of Human Rights next then. Everyone, whatever they have done have the right to defend themselves.
  20. I'm glad you're not measuring up my driveway...
  21. I'd be speaking to the company with the Unimog that contacted you a couple of years ago.
  22. I don't know if there is a fixed budget, if there is he should have paid a bit less than £100+k for the Motorhome he's going to park in it. I've sent him a message asking what he wants, with an image if possible.
  23. I don't think that whould get by the planners, it's in an AONB. He's had to dig some out to get the ridge low enough.
  24. Anyone here make bespoke sheds?, a fella I know wants a shed building in Durham, the ground work is being done now. Dimensions are 8.7m x 3.6m with the door opening being 3.2m high
  25. What a load of hassle for a fallen tree, for a standing tree I sorta understand TPO's, for one on the deck it sounds madness.
