  1. looks like Ailanthus to me too but kinda unusual looking, is it multiple trees growing together?there's alot of stems in there:001_huh:
  2. Definately worth a chaser i'd say, people/companies have a nasty habit of "forgetting" when it's their turn to honour their part of the deal, sadly all too common these days. Good luck Tom. PS. thread was a real joy to read.
  3. Yes there have been some heavy downpours, nothing very long lasting but certainly heavy when they came. I can get some better photos next week with the camera rather than relying on the phone, if it helps.
  4. Bump Hi Tom just found this thread, awesome project and it must have been a true privelege working with the eden project, just looked on their site for details/follow up etc, did they ever come and do the interviews etc as I can't find any references on the eden project site at all:confused1: Congrats man a truly one off project:thumbup1:
  5. Hi Tony My guess is mower damage, it's not in a heavily walked area and yep it is lombardy.
  6. Hi David Photos taken last thursday, the tree is an old poplar and seems to be in fine health. My ident books are currently in storage hence my uncertainty but they don't look classicaly like Amillaria to me, but like you say, certain similarities.
  7. Are these armillaria, if so they are very different to any i've seen before, hence my uncertainty, apologies for poor pic quality, they were taken on my phone in poor(ish) light.
  8. Mick the upside for you with quiet roads is the downside for us, feels like the country and their caravans have descended on us down 'ere at the mo, still I guess it only lasts six weeks, feels like a v long six weeks tho:biggrin:
  9. LOL, in my case that would officially have been a senior moment (even tho' i've had them since me teens:blushing:)
  10. reckon you're right, empty fistral car park would be perfect i reckon, loved the tow in-quality:biggrin:
  11. Go for it ady, one more person out of the line up-job done:sneaky2: Maybe try setting it up at the boardmasters, alternative to a wave pool.
  12. Steve i doubt very much that you'll regret it. Good luck:thumbup1:
  13. We've just bought a mac book pro(for the wife), AWESOME, I want one so bad, I now hate windows even more, no going back I reckon.
  14. It was a blistering sprint, he left the opposition floundering, even more impressive without his usual lead out man, such a shame to see Contador win again and loved seeing him matched/beaten by Andy Schleck in the mountains, what a star. It just seemed to be lacking something for me this year.
  15. Andy i've owned and restored two, each one left a pile of rust on the road wherever it stopped and I was very good friends with the hard shoulder, the engines are dire, consumption/emmissions don't ask!!! they're very basic and very out of date, I could go on. People are in love with the symbolism of the old vdubs, there aint no love once you own one. If it's tidy it'll cost you a bomb, if it's old it'll cost you a bomb. DON'T DO IT.
  16. Mick i've got a friend who is a chiropractor and regularly gets stitched up giving people "rolling credit", for the worst offenders he uses a debt collection agency, they charge a small commission and do all the leg work for you, hasn't failed him yet, normally the phone call is sufficient to put the wind up most people.
  17. yep, awesome finish from Cav, have to say that this year it really didn't do it for me, sadly I just couldn't get enthusiastic(apart from a few stages), much as I hate to say it:sad:
  18. From what I know it seems to be most peoples perception that softwood spits more. Also historically hardwoods were seen as the "kings" of firewood, oak in particular due to it's burn time and heat given off.
  19. I can't see any fairness in a system that taxes you more heavily just because you earn more, were's the equality in that. The richer you are the more you pay(in theory). It just urges you to evade the system and encourages those on welfare/low salary to carry on as they are and let those paying tax subsidise them. Not a very level playing field IMO, tax on purchases seems the only fair way to me.
  20. Ditto whats been said about incline/decline presses, i've also had success in the past doing a phase of negative only reps/sets, ballbusting but great for breaking thru a plateau. The triceps will always fail before the pecs doing presses so might be worth doing a bit more tricep work or pre-exhausting the pecs with flies first and then straight into chest press with no rest. Good luck:thumbup1:
  21. Mozza I can highly recommend an RS1600i, proper old school ford rally sport, loved every second in mine apart from gutless brakes, couldn't keep up with my brothers guttman race prep'd 205GTI, like proverbial off a shovel.
  22. Many happy returns David, birthday on a friday has gotta be an excuse to make a weekend of it, have a belter mate:thumbup1: Pension? do they sill exist!!
  23. I met that storm last night as i was coming down the M5, absolutely vicious, blowing me across 2 lanes, and gutted to mess fistral pumping with only 12 out-sounds like heaven:thumbup1:
  24. Not a good day for Lance yesterday, three crashes in one stage has all but destroyed any chance of a podium place, hopefully focus on a stage win, Contador looked beatable and Schleck looked awesome. Evans in yellow-who'd of thought it, not me that's for sure.
