  1. Think maybe you're a big girls blouse:001_tt2: Seriously though it's a great procedure, although slightly freaky looking at the laser, seeing smoke with the good eye and smelling burning flesh all at the same time:scared1:
  2. Hi buddy I had it done over ten years ago, awesome results best £800 i've ever spent, completely transformed my life, company are called optimax and prices include all aftercare. Just had a check up with local optician and still 20/20 vision:thumbup:
  3. Happy birthday Tom, have a blinder:thumbup:
  4. Yep, you've got it. Got offered free business banking if I can get my turnover above 1 million:laugh1: a holes(sorry had to say it)
  5. I've been with HSBC for ten years, think they're much like any other bank really, typical love/hate relationship, hate Indian call centre, personal banking with natwest just changed it to santander, tbh think they all shaft you:thumbdown: Basically banks never help you when you need it most:banghead: Just my opinion of course
  6. Looks like mimosa to me as well, I'd agree, a good chance it's frost damage, they can be quite delicate.
  7. haha you beat me to it, just thinking the same thing.
  8. :thumbup:Good for you hama, I appreciate it's something you're very hungry for, but glad to hear it's not at any cost. good luck buddy
  9. I totally agree with you Andy, I'm just being cynical/playing devils advocate if you like, it is and should be centre stage, been a long time coming and good luck to those who drive it on, it is a fantastic oppurtunity and someone like Hama is the perfect person for the role, he gets my vote:thumbup:
  10. Hi buddy awesome idea and a yes from me also with a slight 'but', and it's just a concern I have about big business paying lip service to all things green/ecological whilst it's in their(and their shareholders) interest but will they maintain their green credentials if/when times change. Just my thoughts and you know far more about the business world, I'm just a cynical old barsteward and like I say an awesome idea:thumbup1:
  11. An old red at the top of a bank with a heavy lean and as can be seen it's very hollow, holding it's own-just about.
  12. I'd second what Andy and others have said about striking out on your own, it'll bring it's own complications but rewards as well hopefully, and ultimately the ability to structure your week as required. Like you I want to do the degree but know I daren't start until i've put other things in place, priorities I guess, but working for myself gives me the ability to plan toward it. Hama keep the faith man, you can and will acheive all you desire, you have it in you, I know you do, you've been an inspiration to me and others:thumbup:
  13. Not my thing, not a fan of team sports generally and certainly don't get the appeal of watching a bunch of highly overpaid prima donna's dancing around for 90 minutes:thumbdown: I am all in favour of a merlin/spitfire appreciation group tho'
  14. thread 30 i do believe you protested that you weren't daft. wouldn't be abit of age related memory loss creeping in, a senior moment perhaps:001_tt2:
  15. Just caught up with this thread and it's shut, but daft, old, grumpy, so much I could say .................................
  16. Ok I believe you, no need for a tetanus then:laugh1:
  17. Are you trying to now persaude us that actually you are a cute little fluffy thing, all yap and no bite:001_tt2:
  18. Pure glory imo too, I used to work next to an airfield where they regularly serviced and tested display spitfires, truly awesome, never tired of watching and listening to a truly magical engine:thumbup:
  19. Hi David, no there's a pair of them in situ in the middle of a lawned section of botanical garden, both equally old and decayed with no sign of any action being taken.
  20. Aerial root inside the very hollow trunk of a near dead catalpa.
  21. Is that the V12 merlin of Spitfire fame TCD?
  22. Cracking shots again chris, haven't any piptporus for eons, very nice:thumbup:
  23. Agreed. On a different note gotta love how an innocent(naive?) question throws up a completeley different hazard/issue, as has been seen here, hurrah arbtalk.
  24. I checked Makita's website, it is indeed 3/8'' pitch, .050'' gauge and 34cc with no comments on bar length BUT as has been said should you........
  25. Hmm not so sure about that bit:001_tt2:(think you knew that was coming) TBH everbody needs the real truth blunt/harsh or not, we may not always like it delicate souls that we are but tit still needs saying:thumbup: Good to see you can take it as well as dish it out buddy:thumbup1:
