  1. Thanks mate I'll give that a try next time:thumbup1:
  2. Good point and I would had I not cut them off already:blushing:
  3. No I didn't stitch the crossover on the third one, I made sure I pulled it really tight and pinched it whilst smoothing it out, does stitching make it much easier?
  4. Thanks Mark:thumbup: Thanks Peter, it took a while to work out where I was going wrong, I thought it eventually all milk through but not a chance, just more and more bunching, hopefully I'm there now but need some practice to make sure it wasn't a flook.
  5. haha, not the first time I've been told I've got mutliple personality disorder:sneaky2: I've got some yale scorch to try next, I think that's 16 strand, maybe there'll be three versions of that too:biggrin:
  6. My first go at splicing since three strand and multiplait climbing ropes but inspired by this thread I thought I'd try and re-learn, thanks to the guys at treeworker for the kit. First two were a nightmare, third one seems to be on the money, mind you I wasn't sure I had enough skin on my hands to finish it. Buzzing now:thumbup:
  7. Yep completely pointless but it all sounded soooo promising at the time and the science seemed to hold water, history has proved otherwise. Mind you I still like the theory:blushing: It'll interesting to if electronic shifting goes the same way long term:001_rolleyes:
  8. That's a cracking bike rupe, thought it had to be a few years old from your previous shots, if only because I've not seen biopace chainrings for decades, very tasty:thumbup1:
  9. As per title, some interesting static and dynamic tests, more scary is the last section starting at 2:52 seconds with the results of shock loading, poor guy looks like a rag doll. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDIo-WZkSaM&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - ‪Yale Cordage Ultrex vs. XTC Rope Static and Dynamic Test Demonstration‬‏[/ame] Apologies if this has been posted before but I couldn't find any links to it:biggrin:
  10. Tom I did the RFS cert arb many years ago and it's a great qual although my feeling is that it's not as indepth as the tech cert, which looks really good and the ability to add units for the prof dip is brilliant, I'm looking at starting it later this year, I've no experience of the ISA cert I'm afraid. I think they all require ongoing cpd nowadays which keeps them relevant, something sadly lacking when I qualified. Good luck with it whichever way you go.
  11. Wow, quite a pedigree, welcome aboard sir:thumbup1:
  12. Guilty I'm afraid:blushing:, a bit impetuous with the old trigger finger, voted with my heart, I've asked Steve to amend my vote to more accurately reflect my current situation.
  13. Ditto mate, as soon as finances will allow, sadly the bankers who have made property unaffordable are the same ***** that screwed up the economy and now won't lend any money, so we're currently stuck-just my opinion you understand!!!
  14. Grew up in the country, spent most of my life in the country(different counties), love the countryside/rural living, ironically currently living on the edge of town, very unsettling and boy do I hate having neighbours. I'm truly an anti social old git:lol:
  15. Is this too far away for you? .http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/27932-groundy-newbie-climber-required-cornwall.html Just a thought.
  16. Congratulations mate, beautiful name too:thumbup:
  17. Hi Ady, sadly seems to be pretty standard practice these days, you don't get any/many benefits for being an existing customer, they force you into playing the game i'm afraid:thumbdown:... Last time I changed internet provider they promised to cut my bill by 75% to try and keep my contract, I'm guessing you can imagine my response:devil-smiley-017:
  18. Bloody hell Steve that sounds like a steal, i'm in a similar position to ady through o2 which is why I'm unlikely to be buying another iphone, i'm not prepared to be held to ransom for a handset, it is just a phone after all, and there is some very good competition out there now.

    Zma?

Yes mate, they're aimed mostly at building muscle, but they have the added benefit of working on different energy systems at the same time, so they help improve recovery from endurance exercise as well, basically whatever you do they put your body in an anabolic state through natural stimulation of hormones etc so you recover fully and more quickly-as I understand it anyway:blushing:

    Zma?

I'll keep a look out for an update as soon as you reach the magic number:thumbup: I get what you're saying Tom but for me it's all about getting a maximum return in terms of recovery for effort put in to work and training, allowing me go harder for longer. They all stress no side affects etc but who knows long term.

    Zma?

I've tried various protein/ musclebuilding products, don't know why but I deffo found my energy dropped off as well. Nothing compares to cyclone (imo) it's so power packed I never fail to get great results and no plateaus, the dogs dangly's worth every penny:thumbup: Awesome squatting btw:thumbup1:
  22. Tony there's no question you know your subject, my question to you is why are you doing it, just for your friends? perhaps this isn't the right time, when i've done it in the past begrudgingly it has never gone as well as i'd hoped. Do it for the right reasons mate not just because you feel arm twisted into it. Good luck and apologies if this feels like a negative response.
  23. :congrats:It's about time we stood up to the banks and destroy current banking practice, reclaimed this country, rebuild our industry and find a better way.
