  1. I always thought it's not valid until serviced in writing ... Even if they had made the tpo theoretically the tree could still be felled if the notice had not been served in writing to the owner.... Awaiting confirmation off other folk lol 😂 that's what I thought anyhow
  2. Yes surprising how you nip a bit of the end and they sit up really well. Doesn't take a lot either
  3. Looks like polyporus dryads saddle from the pics. Your sycamore is a maple also.... Polyporus coming straight out of the stem isn't great.... Usually on old pruning wounds. Is it fruiting right near the base of all the main stems? So at least 30% crown dieback and polyporus on the main stem. I'd not waste money and just whip the tree out and start again.
  4. I'd say all that stuff you do in the original post is just what the job is : Fueling saws , raking, cleaning, loading logs , sorting ropes etc it doesn't matter who you are, boss, climber , groundy all muck in. Your not going to win a.medal.for doing it as it is basic stuff.... You need to get better at what you do to get a wage rise.... People can't start off on top dollar if they are not worth it. Employers have no room to put your wages up if you start too high.... You don't have a trailer license would be a pain to most companies... If you've only just started months ago and are interested in this line of work, keep your head down and work hard and show the boss your worth more and a valuable asset If you think pays too low and have attitude you can earn more stacking shelves, then I don't think that attitude is the place for tree work. You won't last long at all
  5. Looks good that! Will show my farmer! I even like that for my tractor front loader!
  6. What would we do with all.the 3.5 t tippers if this went ahead? Would prices plummet?
  7. How do you like the predator? What's it like.in people's gardens traveling over Indian paving and up and down steps with ramps? I'm worried about the weight with cracking flags and loosening steps/ edges. Cheers Chris
  8. Wasn't it Apr 2022 for people selling under 600 cube.....
  9. Singing songs of positivity from you here tonight pal
  10. There is also an exemption from running X amount of miles from base think it's 15 and to power implement etc just no haulage from what I recollect. Either way it's all speculation, Chinese whispers and bollocks till something is made official. Why folks on here get knickers in a twist is beyond me. Are a lot of folks buying from garage forecourts in small amounts and not in bulk etc?
  11. Yup so whats people winging about? Tree's are covered under horticulture. The tree's in agg land etc Storm in a teacup from these pussys on here
  12. Digger helping out forwarding wood the other day and stacking then collecting last of it today.
  13. You could try make a small partition for now and bring the load / headboard further back by 18" as a trial.... If this helps build a tool storage at the front of the bed. That's what I do with all my trucks.
  14. I'd say your pissing into the wind unfortunately.... Pissy scissor ram Vs 5stage ram.... 5stage ram sits in a cradle aswell so subframe different. I had to up the power on my 5stage ram as it couldn't handle the loads we give it.... Rust turned it up on the relief valve. If your backs good I'd flog it on eBay and source a more appropriate one with a 5 stage. Easiest way
  15. I doubt you will get anything for free ... Only a few tipper loads here and there.... Would in any form is worth something and I certainly wouldn't give it away for nowt
  16. The sloping bit you mean Dave? If so yes Two man job but fairly easy then... but numb for one person I've seen some sloping hoppers with it welded straight at the chipper. This one here has the hanging point 12-14" out from chipper and can swap hoppers over.... Only a few welded on tabs and some hinges for locating it out of some flat bar.
  17. Got the hopper off Fawcett plant at Bentham. It was sat around for years doing nowt. In fairness if I add it up, second hand hopper, paint etc not Inc my time or a bit of fuel, it's cost me about 290.00 plus vat to change it over to this fold.down setup cheap especially for the limited use it gets its saved me splashing 12k ISH on another chipper
  18. There's a big strimech one at the yard but it's started bending tines and ripped a tone out of its socket recently! Where tines go through its welded only to the 6mm steel frame at the top and bottom and hollow in between. I'll try upload a pic but not sure it will be shown easily .. think its second time in from the left can just see it's not there lol 🤣 no closer photos yet. That said it is on a teleporter with way too much oil flow! Needs a restrictor for when running one of these grabs
  19. Right pics as promised. Not the best paint job lol 😅 and happy to see it dusty and getting scratched up A lot better than that sloping shitty hopper
  20. Thought diesel is still fine for agg, forestry and horticulture
