  1. First time any grief off this saw since I bought it a few years ago.... Cutting up logs we winched up a banking.... bur bur bur.... like ran out of fuel. OK, it was very low. Filled it up, started it again and it messed about and cut out. Started it up again, idles fine. Chain brake off and rev it to clear to cut logs, it revs and then just dies down like its going to cut out. Finished day off with a 462 but severely missed the 362.... Any ideas what to check? Clean carb out etc? Fresh plug? Is the silly solenoid on the carb like the 201t? But they used to cut out when idle not when revving when that was a problem. Any help appreciated. Love this size of saw
  2. I'll have a 1928 round spout for a fiver a week 😀
  3. Tom D will be up there somewhere I think. Well established firm.
  4. And or bloody farmers and cowshit. Us poor bastards buying them 2nd hand after they've had them!!
  5. It's only a little hole in the oil tank pal. 😐 something of bugger all and not worth all the hassle of crank case etc
  6. I bought some 2npart epoxy not so long since... would need to see what the code was for the epoxy. You'd have to clean the heck out of it, blow it off, maybe clean with thinners prior to applying.... being ally it might be even better to scratch the casing around it some with a Stanley blade to help it key
  7. Some good reading there 👌
  8. Exactly.... pissing stupid.... just turning over more brass for the same out come.
  9. I can't decide if your Mystic Meg or Jeremy Kyle / Vine ....
  10. Bloody hell them pics 1 and 3 are awful! I have a 60 plate and it's a lot better than all of those! I must say I looked at a 66 dmax the other month and that was rusty under neath.... bed almost rotten. Looked at a 66 navara that wasn't bad. And under a 15 plate l200 was clean as a whistle..... Shocked at the rangers but must be bad paint or corrosion protection from factory? And most importantly... never buy off a farmer! Cowshit is a nightmare
  11. Managed to get some time this afternoon to get this lot renewed. 4 bearings on the shaft, worn pulley and another 2 bearings in the bigger pulley. Funny setup 😮
  12. Yeah I believe part is how you drive it etc. I have an older ranger 60 plate no dpf and I fly around in that and oin it but that did block the cat at one point.... no big expensive repairs though. I would presume my master tipper 66 plate would have one but that seems ok as its always loaded and pulling weight every day do not tootling about. That's my theory anyhow
  13. And all this does indeed put me off vehicles with dpf's!
  14. Regular tow 2-2.6t near enough each day mainly with the truck. Would be up at 3.5t with the digger behind it
  15. Anyone on here running an l200 of that era? Any good? I see they have decent hp at 175hp and good torque. Only down point is plated for 3100kg towing. Has anyone ever had upgraded to 3.5t with that firm s v tech? Cheers
  16. All good ideas but it needs to breath still
  17. Tried that well.... doubled up the gasket if you get me. Just looked and the tabs are level
  18. Anyone want to throw their hat into the ring with an issue I'm having with getting a fuel tank cap to seal? Seal looks ok, tried a different seal, tried 2 seals. Tried a different cap but wasn't just right. Tried to even order a new cap but they sent me one for a newer machine and can't get one for this now! When working on any grade and a fullish tank even half full etc the bloody thing drips and it's driving me mad. Top of tank looks ok too. Spring in the cap seems ok. Any ideas or source of new caps? Bet them universal push in ones won't work either I'm considering trying to lightly wet and dry the top as you can see scouring in the paint.... if it's back to metal all over maybe will seal?
  19. In all fairness to you lot good on you. I bloody hate doing logs and knocked it on head a few years back. Even pains me to do some for home or friends now. Keep at it 💪
  20. What! When did you order yours? Jammy bugger. I just skim over the daft posts. You can't teach stupid 😉
  21. I have the 8.5t tajfun. Pictures on my old mf399 just a manual as don't use much and I'm a skin flint
  22. Because my predator shook itself to bits, got beat on a job the other week and split a track. I used my old 252 today to bail me out. Such a pleasure to use compared to the predator! This machine has earned me a fortune over the years. Glad I didn't part with it.
  23. Good shout Bob just ordered one! Been thinking about a needle gun for a while but this may just do the trick
  24. Your better off asking on the yank forums or on the bandit stump grinder page on Facebook. Lots more content and folk using them on there 👍
  25. Stress is a constant.... a different degree from one day to the next.
