  2. Is the greenmech 220 just a road tow version of the safe track? What do people think of these gm 220 chippers? Not much out there on them
  3. swinny

    Tiny 4x4, or ?

maybe a diahatsu terios too? Spelling?
  4. Whats prices on both if you dont mind me asking
  5. Keep opinions coming! Best thread in ages
  6. In my experiance they were a little pushy on the phone when i rang for a quote, didn't like it at all, and telling me because i was insured somewhere that i wouldnt be insured correctly as it would be insured as a drop side not a tipper... yes it is insured as a tipper. also the the trying to close a sale final pitch " we also insure you i you cut a tpo tree down"
  7. Im only selling as too much gear and just finishing sorting my plant trailer out, cant fault the trailers for the price really. wouldnt buy a new one but a hardly used second hand one yes!
  8. Hold on, your compairing a braked trailer thats built to carry more weight to a non braked trailer!! lets be fair ifors have a single bar draw bar not a proper frame.... when i priced an ifor with 13" wheels and mesh kit it was 1200 inc vat...
  9. Paxton 7x5 Cage sided Trailer Single axle 750kg un braked not ifor williams | eBay
  10. i've been looking at tracked chippers... say 1.2t for the chipper and 550kg for the trailer thats 1750kg! or do you go for an 8" road tow weighing 1400kg? (bigger rollers and infeed more power) or do you go for a 750kg machine, easy to move about, less strain on truck, newer ones have letterbox openings so less snedding... its a minefield!
  11. You make him sound like a rent boy lol
  12. Wow bob, seriously, what happened?
  13. Still on a tree motion here but.... although its great for freedom etc, im wanting something with a bit more padding as i'm only a small frame / waist. Sick of 660 trying to drag harness down etc... Going to try my spare dragon fly harness out. Also used to climb in an old weaver leather harness and that was ok
  14. My last lot was clinic ace and was fine, i just measure out 125mm per 5 ltr so in my 20ltr napsack in goes 500 ml worked or me, this new stuff i got is called azural i think....
  15. I ended up with a 56 plate transit for that sort of money with low miles
  16. You clearly dont get the point... look at the above answer, about tight gateways, no where to turn around, single track roads and having to have chipper at the side of road and leave truck somewhere else... i can back a chipper / trailer fine, but if it needs it and its quicker and bad access take it of and shove it in, not brovado reversing for ages to get the right angle and wear a clutch out
  17. do you do domestic tree work?
  18. Im also toying with the idea of chippers 750 kg chipper 6" with a letterbox opening so takes in branches less snedding, also easier to move around or bigger chipper 1.2-1.4 t big opening same as smaller chipper, but more hp 55 against 34... pain to move also more strain on the truck? I'm thinking tracked 6" chipper up to now... though still sat on the fence!
  19. This is where you enter the cold calling getting worse. Last time i was on the phone i said, "look i dont want hassling! i will decide and ring you back" towards the end of the conversation, "so is it ok for me to ring you back monday?" I HATE Salesmen/marketing good luck
  20. Wow doesn't sound good as said hopefully its just a case of trying to get to know the system! Was hoping to do this myself at some point!
  21. Go put your handbags in the work truck you two
  22. Its ok Goaty pal, no need to measure. i've a 2.7t plant trailer, i have long cables on the back and short on the front, they all lead to the front but yo could use 4 short ones if it was set up like that. im going to order the ones off ebay!! had enough now lol cheers again bud
  23. Just to ad these are fixed cables the quick detach ones with like a fishing plummet on the end only adjustment is on the brake rod in the centre of the trailer
  24. Just renewing the cables on my plant trailer I've got the back ones but am struggling with the Front ones!!! The black outer cable is 770mm and the actual cable is 990mm long I've rang indespension and they say all the 770mm cables are the same length... also they don't post ebay has 966mm cables but thats 24mm shorter than mine! i'm worried they wont fit? any suggestions as my trailer is like a garden ornament at the moment
  25. Fire all the staff and start again
