  1. Only problem then is the vat for him if he isnt vat registered.
  2. Im not sure why but its always the bodies with the alloy sides that go first! Paint comes off in massive flakes to reveal rusty underneath and then before you know it its rusty everywhere and holes are appearing! Just to say my steel bed on my 56 transit is mint Bad bodies the alloy n steel!
  3. Wouldnt even bother with a bodge, otherwise all machine will end up a bodge eventually Fix it with a new part, spectrum plant i fit one a few months back excellent part
  4. I've always thought a back actor back hoe would be a cheap way of lifting wood if you change from bucket to hook. Obvioursly very limited, but horses for courses and its better than manual handling. Obvioursly not fit for the op's situation
  5. Sure i pay 550 for l200 and 500 for the transit... just gone 25 so keen to see renewal price Does it make it dearer to have any driver over 25 policy?
  6. That stupid lass who stayed on the wall
  7. Im sure i've got a tree on a 5 day notice to come out sometime next week...
  8. I think on a self employed basis if a person is just a brash dragger then 60.00 a day, if they can use a saw and are ok then 75-80 a day, if they are efficient and crack on to move the day on 90-100 a day Trying to find good lads to work for you is hard work! and to get them to work hard, rain doesnt hurt but if you mope around instead of cracking on the job actually takes longer I remember when i started out, sure i was on 60 a day, then 70 then 80 then 80 for climbing then 100 etc and gone on from then. The thing is i wanted to do it, and took the pay but learnt a lot, but i was also rewarded by pay rises, i like to think i did well when learning and i did learn from someone whom is very good and very efficient! I think some workers need to up there game and they will be paid accordingly, this is not directed at the original poster or anyone, just a generalisation. Clean up well, fuel saws up, have things ready for climbers and look and listen all the time. Also is the finished product, tree, garden etc how you would leave if it was your job? also keep tools tidy etc not just thrown in the van, you'll appreciate it when you buy them
  9. When and where did you ask craig? never saw it
  10. Could try Iain Tavendale based barnoldswick / earby
  11. Surely the problem is trying to get your workers to work in the rain to finish the job!
  12. Bump, anyone help with this at all? any pics etc as have exhausted google!
  13. Will it work on my crappy old i phone 3?
  14. And are they folded?
  15. I got one a while back... 89 quid? Rubbish, bent, 25mm tube thats 1-1.5mm thick... honestly rubbish
  16. Excellent! Bad news for some cmpanies though
  17. Could i change my stihl ms261 to 3/8? Just a sprocket n bar and away i go?
  18. throttle with bar as is, is full throttle, when moved to the front. when turn clockwise, bar to the left (back of the machine) drops to idle
  19. Yours looks more like a rod that does the throttle, also yours is mounted on the side (sloping bit) and mines right on the top...
  20. Thats full throttle there Yes, the arm coming out of the injector pump looks original, the rest is just bodged rubbish!
  21. This is it
  22. Hmmmm why does mine look way different? Also its when you shove the lever all the way forwards when its on full throttle, so when throttle arm goes to the front (controls) of the machine that you get full throttle. This has been bodged by previous owner and struggling with it! Also the cable and handle redwood has sent me has a red handle and a 4 bolt fixing. On the machine it is a 3 bolt fixing.. so suspect the older one with a black knob. 2004 machine Hoping i can just fit the cable and get away with it!
  23. That would be excellent! Cheers
  24. Hi there, Does anyone have a picture of the throttle cable and how it attaches to the injector pump? Long shot i know! Cheers
  25. long as your hot water is on its fine, take a minute to warm up etc, mines a normal not electric shower, so was old one at parents house and all fine.
