  1. Yeah cheers David. Even if you don't have a place for a volunteer, it would be fun to meet up and follow you round at work for a day. I'm sure I would learn a thing or two.
  2. Probably nothing you guys havn't seen before, but this thread inspired me to go down to my local woods and look for some grafts. Cheers for an interesting thread

  5. Sean, You weren't kidding about it being close to the motorway! Will definately get down there, I also need to make a trip the Richmond Park again which is even closer to me after seeing some of the pictures you have put up! Cheers mate
  6. Hi Sean, This is quite close to me and I would like to go and have a wonder in the woods. Having trouble finding it on google though. Are there any larger towns close to it than I can search for on google maps or maybe you have a link. Cheers, Ben
  7. Very nice pictures. Love them too. Where is this? I must take a look next time I am in the area!
  8. I do ahaha
  9. I use a small little line mug. Does the job, its compact and I can clip it onto my harness and use it to retrieve my cambium saver.
  10. you can see him using the system mentioned above. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdV8Nr4tEpo]YouTube - DLRW 2[/ame]
  11. If you used a left and right normal pantin with DRT you would have to keep taking one off the rope and putting it back on above the other and so on. Would work well for secured footlocking on a double rope though. The modification can be to make one pantin have a long strap to your foot rather than a small foot strap. Then one is always above the other on the rope. But if you dont want to cut up a pantin you could just use a croll if you have one. Also if you attach some elastic cord to the top of the croll and tie it to your krab and a footloop on the bottom when you lift your foot it will self advance. Hope this makes some sense...

    Cleaning krabs

Cheers guys. As a temporary fix I worked it for a while under water, left to dry and then used a tiny squirt of WD as it was all I had to hand. I will have to get some of that graphite powder! Any particular cheap/good places to get it?
  13. Does anyone have any good tips for cleaning krabs when they get a bit sticky? Also what is best to lubricate? grease, graphite powder, silicon spray, wd40?
  14. They are the bees knees!
