  1. If you want to tow with it avoid the wheelchair ramp version. Because the floor is lowered the rear structure is altered and you CAN NOT fit a 'legal' towbar. However, you can carry a very big load inside the van. It depends what will work for you, and what choices you have. Enjoy!
  2. How come the USA is good enough to put a man on the moon, but they have given the world Rap music, country music and Donald Trump - Please take them back!
  3. Thats a good question. Combine that with the fact that a cat always lands on its feet..... You can make a perpetual motion, gravity defying machine by attaching a piece of toast (butter side up) to the back of a cat.
  4. Mine is an 03 reg and it seems reasonably simple. Probably a good idea to look at a peugeot forum or call your local Peugeot specialist and talk to a mechanic. Touch wood, I've had no issues in the 25K miles I've had mine (must be a record). The plastic door handles are crud but that has never stopped me using it.
  5. If you get an expert, why not go for a wheelchair ramp one. There's loads of them about, there is a lot more room in them where the floor has been lowered, and the mileage is usually a lot less. You also get a handy loading ramp. I got on years ago with 27k on the clock for less than 100k+ vans of the same age.
  6. Why does Ivy ALWAYS grow from next door? There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
  7. His garden is the wrong way round. and his buttons do up the girlie way.
  8. Someone once likened insurance to betting that something nasty will happen. When it doesnt, you lose the bet. You only win when it DOES happen. But then you have a history of claims so you are a higher risk. Its always our fault for claiming - we must be punished. Has anyone ever been to Norwich and seen the main entrance hall that Norwich Union (Aviva) have. All that marble has to be paid for somehow. I worked for NU for 7 years - they were the most pushy and obnoxious bastards I ever dealt with. I would NEVER insure with them, and I even cheer every couple of years when Norwich City get relegated. Angry of Worthing
  9. What did I come in here for? (also related to the over 50s thread).
  10. Don't think you are the only one, it was just too easy
  11. There seems to be two options, either you want moral support over your concern on the potentially weak union resulting from some major damage or diabolical reduction many years ago, OR You watch too much naked yoga. Lets hope its the former - well spotted and right to be concerned. Yeah yeah yeah!
  12. This is a Cock and ball story isn't it. Nice work there.
  13. I use the cheapy twin blades from Tesco - but if you clean them with an old (or the wife's) toothbrush you can all the crud and soap out from between the blades I get 3 or 4 shaves out of them till they go blunt and pull the whiskers out. Unless you are Ryan Giggs you should get a weeks worth out of a 10p 'head' You can save even more if you dismantle it and put the blades on a greenstone wheel.
  14. Clean underwear, you never know what they REALLY want.
  15. It just looks like bravado to me, the only reason to film such a climb is to show 'what a man' you are. We've all climbed close to our limits at some point, but not everyone feels the need to film it and show the world what big knackers they have. Oh modesty where hast thou gone?
  16. I can't see why he had to climb it. It looked like plenty of room away from the road. Maybe a winch in there to guarantee avoiding a Bartlett cut and Robert is the brother of one of your parents.
  17. Someone's been tweeting this.

    Unbelievable

What about the queue of slow moving traffic full of people watching to see how slowly they are working? It all adds up.
  19. Maybe he's working in base 9? Mind you, then there would only be 11 (decimal) in each box. Oh FFS I've confused myself now.
  20. Either all my grease guns are knack'd or the grease-shaft (whatever its called) on my Greenmech is the size of a cathedral. The rear bearing (purge greased) takes about 60- yes sixty pumps of HT grease before it oozes out around the flywheel. Mind you, 7 years on there is absolutely no play in the flywheel. Well pleased but I get through some grease. Hats off to the unbreakable timberwolf! Very, very different from my experience, but hey - good on ya!
  21. Reputation, recommendations, repeat business. Theres tons of work to be had from people who haven't heard of the AA. Represent yourself professionally, work professionally and it will come anyway. If you want to expand and join the big boys - best play by the rules.

    HMRC scam

Theres a scam doing the rounds where a recorded message tells you that HMRC are prosecuting you and to press 1 to speak to the case officer. Dont press 1 - there are articles about it on the web. I only heard the message on my answerphone after I got home so even if I was feeling gullible I couldn't react to it anyway. IIRC all govt bodies start either with a letter or by kicking your door in early in the morning, never via some poxy phone call. Just beware.
  23. Anyone see this last night? Amazing. Does remind me of someone who used to work for me. BBC's 'Spy in the Wild' sees orangutan use SAW to cut tree | Daily Mail Online
