  2. some fresh meat! im going to go with Coprinus spp for this one, some sort of ink cap?? not sure. found in sycamore buttress roots amongst leaf litter
  3. just noticed the make of my tripod haha!
  4. ahh right i see where your coming from there do they tend to persist for long then? my laetip pics from the previous page, i found some fungi scattered on the ground in that area which very closely resemble pieces of the old laetip in your pics. i originally thought i had discovered some sort of truffle haha. but oddly they were "on top" of the leaf litter/ substrate, so cant have been that old (quite moist aswell). here's a poor quality pic:
  5. i sound like a bit of a hippy there, im not really, i hate you all just kiddin
  6. spot on if you ask me. simplify, simplify, simplify. thats the way to do it. more clutter/ commitments= more stress. for me anyway. i like this thread, good to see so many people just in it for the love of it, all in one place, talking rubbish together
  7. the green insect had bright green eyes. and the woodland i found it in has a river running through it so i wouldnt have been surprised if it was some kind of mayfly (google search of "baetis" only shows up fly fishing lures haha!). although this is a crap pic it shows the colour a little better:
  8. haha yeah more work for us hopefully, although it seems like everyone in my area has all of a sudden become a "tree surgeon". cheers for the encouragement mate whereabouts are you based? good luck to you, too :thumbup1:

  17. happy days:thumbup1:
  18. anything is better than nothing, if you do infact love this job. if you dont love it, maybe do something else. one of the first things our course leader at arb college told us when we started is, you'll never get rich doing tree work.
  19. ha! go on...
