Why not just take your HGV Cat C test. Its dead easy. Then u can fully utilise the truck. Them 8T TM's bring back horrible memories.

What annoyed me was the parents of one thug complaining about heavy handed police tactics! what a joke!! If you attack the police you deserve everything you get!! Being on the receiving end of a rioting mob is one of the scariest experiences i have had. At times its a fight to stay alive. what do they expect police to do take a beating? Wesure as hell didnt in Basra, I bashed them with my stick till my arm ached!!

All those causing trouble at the protests should be thrashed to within an inch of their life on national TV. Make them think twice about doing it again!!!

They think it might be a revenge attack on the guy who owned the land it was on. Personally i think the country as a whole has gone mad!!

most peoples feet are a different size.Im the complete opposite my left foot is red hot all the time. The doc says the left n right hand side of my body are not equal my left eye waters more etc etc

Ugg boots my missus swears by them!! lol Try rubbing a small amount of vaseline into your feet before you put your socks on.

I'm in same boat mate, only been going 6 months and work has now dried up. A friend of mine recently gave me some excellent advice. He said no matter what get up on every day you should be working and do something for the business, treat it as a working day. even if that means cleaning the van or bit of studying etc. On days i dont work i go out climbing, and ive just got a contact where i do free tree work now and again when it suits me and i get to dump all my chip and keep as many logs as i want amongst other benefits.Next year my logs will be all seasoned ready to keep me busy. Have a wander and introduce yourself to all the local people in the know!! Farmers, landowners estate agents etc Dish out business cards it will work wonders mate! Good luck Dave

IMO metal jerrycans should be avoided at all costs. Get the 20 ltr plastic ones instead.

its the heat from your eyes steaming them up. try cleaning the insides with fairy liquid. i used to use it and it worked.

its worth spending time doing it,, cos then you'll prob realise some of jobs you will prob have done for free or even made a loss. mine even factor in cost of initial quote. which on average costs me £10 alone in vehicle costs.

£250 is not my normal day rate, i usually aim it around £450 to £500 for 2 guys on a standard 8 till 4.30 days work

I have all my fixed charges worked out into a daily rate. truck, kit everything, i even add an amount to cover breakages etc. then add whatever is needed for that particular job. Ive always found pricing to be the hardest part, never got used to asking people for money!! You will be surprised how much you need to make to cover everything. I had a rather long debate last week over a quote for a friend of a friend, he couldnt understand why my price was so high. ( £250 for 2 guys for a good days work ) massively discounted cos i liked the guy. When i explained he looked at me blankly and said he would do it himself!!
