  8. Hardcore violence is the only solution for scum like this!!!
  9. The company i work for has one and it hardly gets used, its just eating money sat in the yard. We mainly use the tractor n trailer which has a timber grab n is much more versatile n doesn't get stuck on soft ground or need someone with cat c to drive.
  10. Pack of jam doughnuts for break time will go down a treat with the lads. Trust me
  11. Take packed lunch and sense of humour!! never stand around doing nothing, grab a rake or blower. Good luck
  12. you are within the law mate. DVLA website explains it all clearly if in doubt phone them
  13. i think even if you were successfull, the companies would seek to line their pockets by putting up their prices to compensate for the reduction in duty. When VAT was reduced to 15% did prices fall?I think not!!
  14. Giant Helium Balloon Enables Horticulturist To Prune Rainforest Plants - Green Diary Try one of these
  15. Before you carry out a rescue, you will have no doubt informed emergency services, so ur rescue should you need it will be on its way!
  16. amazing!!! i had a friend who fell 3 foot banged his head n died instantly.
  17. ive had 4 hernia ops on the 3rd they didnt do good job and i bust the mesh. they then double meshed it and stitched nerves in with it too. Had to have course of injections into the scar tissue to solve it, still hurts bad now n again. just make sure you dont rush back climbing or lifting.
  18. Tells u in the manual mate

  20. i aint been funny guys but he has posted his number for people interested to give him a call. Give him a ring and ask for more details etc. Potential employers are not going to chase after you, they want someone who is keen!!!
  21. Cant beat jonesies, and free next day delivery. i dont shop anywhere else!!!
  22. Was just wondering during these hard times when work can be in short supply, what do you guys do to earn some extra cash? I've only been going around 9 months and work is very short at the moment, i'm expanding into logs but these wont be ready till later in the year. Was thinking of maybe offering a Grass cutting service, but i imagine this is very cut throat with low margins?? What do you guys think? Cheers Dave
  23. Praticing on logs is defo the way to do it. you can do tons of cuts all day long. talk yourself through it and keep it slow. But most of all deep breath and relax. It will come!!!
  24. IMO the 8T TM is a great old truck will go anywhere with any load. They are built like tanks and rarely break down. Gearboxes can be a real pain and ive blown a couple. They can take a bit of getting used to. The thing i hated most is the exhaust is under the cab and the heater sucks in the fumes when stood still, Not good!!!! They always never seemed safe either. shake like buggery and the cab is flimsy as hell. A friend of mine was killed instantly when he hit a fence at high speed, when straight through into him. But they go like the clappers Had Just over 80MPH out of mine which was the tanker variant. As for the Cat C as far as im aware its just same as car test with theory n practical if i remember rightly practical is an hour. I found it easier than car cos truck is bigger n slower. The army paid for mine so unsure of costs. Imo i would get something under 7.5t be alot cheaper to run n maintain. Dont convert the 8t to 7.5T youll be lucky to carry ur lunch n a saw. Cheers Dave
