  1. Nice work as usual mate! You get some good graft and humble about it:thumbup:
  2. Everybody seems to be trying to make money of logs at the minute apparently this lad has tickets and it may be a clever way into quotes and if he has the patter he might be so busy with work he won't have the time to come on here and stand up for himself haha
  3. I hate them dreams bud I remember after loads of beer once I dreamt I was having a tinkle in a bath:confused1: you can probably guess what happened:blushing:
  4. Very sad news and echoing other peoples comments I didn't like the posts on the page suggesting poor practice the media always get things wrong and it's disrespectful to judge my thoughts go out to his family and work mates let's hope we are never in that position
  5. Haha been too busy to get there mate got home late had a couple of cans then remembered about the box of goodies! I've been trying to explain to my lass about how my other spikes twist and hurt my legs and how good these will be then she ended up in the same position as your little lad the other day, she's gone to bed now:blushing:
  6. Aye I get it from working in a MEWP because I don't use them much but did get it from being in the harness in wind when I was at college but I think when you've done more climbing you don't actually hang in the harness as much. But the falling dreams I hate them mate apparently if you hit the floor you die haha
  7. Thanks for all the replys lads! The spikes came today along with the lowering rope etc thanks to Justin, I got home and as I said was worried as all the gecko spikes I'd seen had the long spikes on them so I asked the wife to take the cover off the spike and guess what they were the small spikes haha it was a tense moment can't wait to try them now
  8. Is he not just mixed up and it's cherry diesel haha
  9. Haha your right mate with my spikes and 020
  10. I meant to type the fell not the feel:blushing: I made me sound like a tree hugger haha
  11. Haha good vids mate I'm buzzing watching them in them at the minute it's the first sign of them doing things being people if you know what I mean it was funny at the start watching their confused faces . Layton has all the grace of Michael flattely does a little Irish jig and Dylan just tries to burst into a big jump every couple of seconds haha
  12. I enjoy the feel the most to be fair but regards to thin and reduce I like to carry out both on a tree but sympathetically because too harsh means a tree will react in a way to push out more growth in leaves and larger leaves but what I think is right and what a customer thinks is right is different and I'm happy to do what they want as long as I don't get in trouble haha
  13. Haha I feel your pain i forget all the dates and who's kids are who's and how many kids each member of the family has.
  14. Thinking about it mate I don't think it was the length it was more the angle they stuck out at. Il get used to them I'll have to cos I probably won't buy another pair for ten year haha
  15. It's all looking good I'm just wondering about the length of the actual spike?
  16. That was my next question bumbleb I've seen a set before and thought the spikes looked a liitle long good for ivy covered trees though ha
  17. Looks like wel need a dadtalk site soon lads haha
  18. We used to pla ice hockey round the factory units where the steel works were, so all over the Tarmac were metal shavins from drilling etc it used to hurt when you hit the deck. I have a mate now who is still into everything he's been buying loads of foam from eBay so he can make a jump pit for when he's on the bmx
  19. I haven't mate but when my dad was climbing he worked over there and loved it. When I see him tomorrow I'll ask him the crack, all I can remember him saying was the buildings were impressive and that they prune downy birch in a way to look similar to palm trees if you know what I mean:blushing: it was around ten year ago when he went but I'll ask him anyway mate:001_smile:
  20. You were so excited you forgot to add the picture haha Great when something turns you into a kid again. I never skated but was well into street hockey on the roller blades good times:thumbup:
  21. Good stuff I'm excited now haha I'm on the twisted steel ones at the minute and think they will be chucked in the rescue kit, I got them given so didn't bother buying some better ones but think I must be getting older now can feel them hurting my legs.
  22. That's what I wanted to hear cheers mate I'd had the buckinham ones before and loved them (I think they've doubled in price since) but these are a lot cheaper and looked the business. I just hope they turn up before Friday some big oak trees to take down after that it's back to reductions for a month.
  23. As title says just wondering how people rate them? We've been on big takedowns all week and are for the rest and got sick of my crappy spikes so ordered some of these from jonsie. Was originally going for the buckinhams but seen these why are they so much cheaper? Maybe should of asked before I ordered them:blushing:
  24. Haha good photo of the little man mate:thumbup: I'd put a couple up but just moved and no Internet yet:thumbdown: we've just had our two in them bouncers you hang on the door frame they loved it:thumbup:
  25. Hahaha just remember though they are very well used/worn and maybe lost/stolen
