  2. Aren't some known as mockneys? Haha
  3. Have you tried them new helicopter crisps?……… better than plane:001_rolleyes:
  4. Haha cheers for the advice though mate
  5. I confused me self there I thought woodpicker meant that for the bearings. Ichange oil etc every 6 month at the moment but will check hrs from now on
  6. Well put I've embarrassingly let myself get involved in pointless arguments on here before but I've watched this closely and stayed clear because I can appreciate both sides Hama and Stephens posts in particular, I see them both as experts in their field and I think they do each other
  7. Ne bother mate glad you got some work bud he's a good bloke he's set previous lads up with gear to start on their own etc get stuck in mate and he'l see you right;)
  8. Haha I hear you mate I'm basic and I reckon everyone should get used to basics but quite recently I've worked alongside a lad with all the bits and he's been fast but other times he's still flinging the throw bag about and I'm on the second tree haha it levels out though good climbers are good whatever they use
  9. Seriously? I didn't know that I was expecting a pm from you mate telling me to buy a jenson haha
  10. My uncle said he spoke to you and he had a bit for you spot on mate;)
  11. That seems cheap mate I've been wondering how much it costs but not got round to checking. Ours has only done 500 hrs but I wouldn't mind changing bearings for peace of mind. How often do you lads change oil and filters on your chippers? I change oil on my pick up every 3000 miles but unsure with the chipper
  12. Haha we were quoting ace Ventura through the course ourselves. Some of the lads were talking of trying to quote batman through the course too but gladly the lads did take it serious and apart from doing what's right it's what keeps us in work I reckon.
  13. It was ran by the LA we work for mate I've done them before but it's a helpful kick up the ****/reminder to keep your eyes open @Ian aye mate the old shrug of the shoulders and "I didn't know" thing isn't enough is it. I'd hate our hard work to be tarnished because of just checking for wildlife. They told us a few stories of people finding bats and carrying on with work regardless if a business is riding on one job something is wrong surely?
  14. Hopefully you will get plenty of work around Northampton dan so fuel economy won't be much of an issue
  15. I worked with a lad who had so many shiny bits on his harness we clipped a tea strainer on it and he took a couple of weeks to notice haha he was very good though but I'm the same as butler I've tried different things but not got on with them. I wouldn't put anyone down for using kit everyone enjoys different kit I use agrillion now that's about as flash as I get but the more my elbows hurt I reckon may need to make more of an effort with regards to kit
  16. Haha good come back! Cheers for the post we've just attended a course this week regarding bats etc and genuinely found it interesting especially as the next job were on involves trees that all have cavities in them peeling bark and ivy so off to buy my mag lite tomorrow.
  17. I never win nowt so how much are these I want one?
  18. Nice one ne bother pal. The boys are spot on ta how's the lovely Chrissy? Are you working on your own yet mate?

  19. Hi Dan garden machines are near the town centre on the a508 I think it is, good shop mate. Have you managed to get in touch with my uncle yet?
  20. I genuinely respect you Hama and have learned a great deal from your posts but I would be the same as Steve as a company I wouldn't dare say a tree is safe, not saying I would say fell everything as we do a lot of sympathetic pruning/reductions but I would worry too much saying a diseased tree is safe but that's probably down to my lack of knowledge.
  21. If your clutch is ok may turn out to be prop shaft problems? I don't know if it has one I know nowt about mechanics but changed clutch on my transit (changed it to solid fly wheel or whatever old school) and it started juddering few people said clutch but was prop shaft bushes. I was told to test clutch put right heel on brake and rev with toes let clutch out in 5th gear it should conk out but if it tries driving clutch is on the way out if that makes sense.
  22. Stops the hinge ripping the fibers out too. Fantastic pictures mate proper men doing proper work just moved to new house at min son not got Internet but will put a couple of old pics up when it's on got a good one of the old man in a pair of jeans on the side of a mountain in Ireland with his top off! He wasn't a show off honest haha
  23. Hahaha ou never fail me:thumbup: Cheers for starting this thread because would of thought these things last forever mate it's shocked me. Don't be put put off by people being negative you may have saved someones life mate.
  24. I've sold a few load for 50-60 quid mate that's a good transit load check B&Q prices it's unreal
  25. Can I give a donation of twenty quid Mick? I know it's not directly bidding on something but would like to contribute. Glad to see you are on the mend too Dave.
