    Haha the lads were meant to make me wear one of them lat week at my stag but one of the lads got wrecked and demanded he wore it saved me doin it lol like the idea of some photos ive had some packs made up for the van with insurance papers in generic risk assesments specific risk etc could add some photos in there got some good ones the other day when we took a big beech down think a mog would be the answer lol I remember a company I worked for had 3 and when u turned up to do a job and u weren't in a mog they were askin where the big green thing was

    I gotta get some company tops sorted soon I've just been turning up in the transit with the gear on givin them the "sorry about the state of me I'm just so busy" line. I look quite young so when I was goin in my casual gear in my lasses megane don't think they took me seriouse

    I've just started my business with my brother so it's all new to me I've been doin the same and it's been working up to now went to one the other day had a problem withmy flies they keep comin down and had half my dinner down my vest explained it to them they thought it was funny and got the job not sayin that's the waytodress though lol

    How do you lads prefer to dress when pricing? workwear or the full on shirt and tie? Different ways for different types of work? Not looking for gok wan goin on about confidence and stuff lol

    I know aye it's great watching all the different styles Im hoping Ross Pearson does well he's from up here and like how he mixes it up that espn channel was the best thing I got lol my lass even watches it now she knows more fighters than me got up the morning after that Anderson silva fight she was eating her cornflakes shouting at the telly watching the repeat

    Don't know what the crack is with him I prefer seeing them showing respect towards each other,only been watching it for about a year but it's addictive isn't it? Would like to take part but just started own business with my brother and working hard enough without doin that lol was training at a place near me for a few month mostly circuit training and grappling by the time I was there I was already nakered from work was good crack though thinking of goin back soon now I'm not working away

    Think everyone agrees we should get the job done safely don't smash nowt and get stuck in with the lads on the ground everybody has their place in the job and is as important as each other

    I think it works both ways depending on the job every job is different you can't say groundies work harder all the time I've climbed my heart out while watching lads stand round laughing and jokin but also cut bog pieces off and had to sit and watch the lads work like dogs cleaning up

    Aye well said when your in a good team then everybody has their place and I think a good climber is no better than a good groundsmen you can't beat having a good lad on the ground if your a good climber you need a good man or men getting the stuff processed nowt worse than having to shout down tellin people what to do I've worked with lads who when I've switched off my saw to shout for a lowering rope then looked down and they're already tying it on good times but answer to the question is someone who gets the job done safely and doesn't think any part of the job is below him pardon the pun lol

    I've climbed for ten year now and take pride in getting down from a tree have a quick drink and get stuck in with the lads I find a lot of the time when u get used to climbing it becomes natural and when enjoying yourself u sometimes don't feel like your working hard and if your working fast the lads on the ground are working harder your climber should respect his groundsmen and get stuck in

    Probably a silly question but was that really hard to make I have friends with the gear to do it but never done anything like that before would love the thought making something out of the timber I take down as I think I'm great just putting the logs on my log burner lol I have a set of twins on the way would be nice to make a couple of them chairs they look fantastic mate

    On a job I was on years ago a young lad got sent looking for a long stand while looking for it the site fork lift driver stopped and asked him what he was looking for when he told him the fork lift driver said it's gone missing you better go to the main office and tell the gaffer what u looking for and ask if he's got a couple of hard slaps instead so he did made us laugh for a few days

    Hi All, just new on the site first post and all was wondering if any of you guys knew of any big firms in the north that use small contractors in the north. My brother and just treated ourselves with a transit tipper and chipper and were on the lookout for work we have two days a week constant work and filling the rest in from our advert but the more the better as you all know were fully insured/qualified etc. Any help or advice is much appreciated.
