  1. Aye Rupe vie got it on DVD fancy the blu ray one too. I haven't seen inception yet but really fancy it:)
  2. Now that is a classic:) embarrassingly van damme was my hero as a kid and my dad told me he beat him up on whitley bay beach so I told all my mates at school haha I also worked down country a bit ago and one of the lads was obsessed with seagall so we had banter saying who would win and I bought a magazine one day and inside was an interview with Stallone and he told a story of van damme offering seagall out and he took off I was loving it haha
  3. Aye I've seen that mate it's a good film, don't agree with them but it's just a film it's gut wrenching when he beats the lad up at the end. I watched the follow on series but wasn't impressed and the girl didn't look as hot haha another I just thought of is one flew over the cuckoos nest that's a top film
  4. I now someone who rents a farm building as John k suggested it's cheap enough I think and he alarmed the building up himself and put a steel container in there for extra protection. He doesn't have time for logs etc so the farmer gets them which may be part of the deal. Some farmers often have a spare building making no money and love free logs and chip:) but I suppose them self storage places may have the benefit of security guards?
  5. Is that quadrophenia mate (may be spelled wrong) another I thought of crocodile Dundee? As a kid I thought that man was a legend haha along with smokey and the bandit too:) I haven't seen any really good modern films so really I'm worrying that and the tender age of 28 I'm almost saying they don't make them like they used to HELP!
  6. Well said mate:) I just watched a chubby brown DVD (bear with me) and googled him to find his age and found a forum where people were slanging him for being racist but at the same time calling him a typical northerner and he's the way he is because of his environment! I'd call that racist too. Off topic I know but can't believe that comment how does someone starting out get work from word of mouth if they've just started? Doesn't make the "gypos"
  7. As title says would like to find some good films from like minded people not the Internet critics:) never really been a one to watch films always ended up talking too much but me and the wife dusted off the old DVDs and find point break is our favorite along with goodfellas, casino and scarface but is there any new films out of the same calibre? Don't say pirate films are your favorite because they are cheap as I don't condone that haha;)
  8. Totally agree when we first started it was where most of our work came from, now it feels a bit of a waste of time but if the other work dried up we'd depend on it. Our advert in there gets smaller but it's still in there. The biggest long serving firm around our parts probably has the smallest ad in there but he's still there and certainly not a cowboy and neither are we everybody has to start somewhere:)
  9. I've spoke to two people on the subject today one owns a garage and other is a mechanic , the one that owns the garage said to get my Audi done but leave the transit alone and the lad who was just a mechanic said leave both well alone as he knows loads of lads who had their audis/golfs done and had loads of problems. The Audi goes well anyway and is a family car at the end of the day but I do feel sorry for the transit at times:(
  10. When me and the wife watched that film it freaked her out everytime the wind blew through the curtains in the house I pretended to go into a transe she hated it:)
  11. Never heard of this before I've always been told to thin centre out and try and leave horizontal branches as they produce the most fruit? I've seen a stressed apple produce loads of fruit before I knew the process, as a kid I found an apple tree by the river we swam in with loads of apples on and the best apples I've tasted went down same time for a few year after and no apples, it's dead now and now I know why
  12. That's an awesome song Mick! Me and my lass thought we couldn't have kids then when she said she was pregnant I didn't bubble but first thing in mornin on the way to work this came on and for some reason I was bubbling like a right soft get think it was the first word:)
  13. We use industrial workwear in consett there gear is the best I've ever worn and have won a few jobs over bigger competion with the client saying we looked more professional because of our workwear. They aren't the cheapest but the gear and embroidery is top notch:)
  14. Haha tell me about I had all the lads saying "aye when ya have kids and get married it all stops!" I thought NEVER! I was so wrong. I've realized am getting older now like mate I watch the news am married have two kids and just bought a four door saloon car am finished haha
  15. I remember you posting that up before canny bit of kit. I like to wait for things like that to come along instead of blowing a load of money on something you might not use much. We improvise everyday in our work would be nice to do it with machines to save us a packet.
  16. I'm sure someone on here said they offer free bird boxes on large trees sounds a good idea in the right area.
  17. Mark them pigeons we found in Feb must have been born in Jan god knows what they must be on to survive the cold up here you know what it's like. Mating must be the only way the keep warm now haha
  18. The nesting season is going out the window I think (with pigeons anyway) I seen pigeon chicks as late as November and we seen some in a conifer early feb this year and they looked not far off leaving the nest! We also attended a course lately regarding wildlife and pleading ignorant to nests etc doesn't wash no more so I would just stop work it's not worth it.
  19. I've thought the same thing mate I'm quite new in business and find it hard deciding what to buy we've been through a stage where we needed a 4 wheel drive and nearly bought one then a stage where we needed a little tracked platform and then a tracked chipper same story but we've got through it and still have that money we didn't spend I'd hate to buy a bit of kit and it's sitting about doing nowt so the universal idea would be awesome
  20. I'm no mechanic by any means but if a re map is meant to make the mpg better I would imagine less fuel is being burnt so would that mean better emissions? Failing that I used to have a car which smoked badly and when it came to mot it failed the emissions test so my mate which worked at the garage took it down the road and thrashed it when he came back and tested it again it passed for some reason
  21. I think you are best to do the mods you want and maybe service the motor so it running it's best then get the re map done mate
  22. That sounds good to me mate vie only got the 130 and to be fair feels pretty quick but you can always have more haha do you reckon it affects the life of the engine or not?
  23. Which model a4 do you have mate and what difference has it made I have the 130 diesel sport fancy having it done I say for fuel economy to keep the wife happy but I just wanna make it faster really haha
  24. I've been thinking about this too but wanted to hear experience from an arborist and not a boy racer van driver:sneaky2: would like to get my Audi done too:thumbup:
  25. Try yeti he's from up that way seems a canny lad
