  2. And it's in Alum Rock, so if you're really lucky you might get out with all your gear and four wheels on a vehicle... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. On a different floor pan I assume? I would guess it will be based on the caddy max life basics? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. I got the 1.6TDi Greenline, picked it up today. Seems alright, 5 miles on the clock and it's averaged 52mpg on a 70 mile drive back down the M1. Anyone want to buy a 52 plate Honda Civic, 82k on the clock? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Just finished the handles and put a bit of an edge on the abattoir axe.. Don't know if I'll ever use it for much but I like it! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Was just thinking the same, it would make a hell of a bonny! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  8. I bought a felling axe, a hatchet and another axe from a farm sale about 10 years ago. Cost about four quid plus buyers premium I think. Axe has had a new shaft but doing well. The beast of the three is the "other" axe. It is made of some kind of wrought steel, including the handle, and short - suitable for two handed operation but only with bended arms. I was a bit bemused as to the original purpose of it, but when I spoke to my father he put me in the picture - apparently it is an abattoir axe, used for two handed halving of carcasses down the spinal cord when the animal is hung up. I've used it for hacking at roots and things in the past but this weekend decided to put a pair of wooden wraparound handles on it and give it a sharpen. Photos to follow when I get it finished! 9. If anyone is in the Warwick area and would like to get rid of burnable arisings in exchange for beer money (or homemade rhubarb wine!), I would be glad to hear from you after my friend sold the woodland I'd been helping with, leading to loss of firewood. I am happy to unload, saw and split, and have got some space (not loads) to stack wood for seasoning. Can also collect in car-trailer loads locally, depending on what the wood is still potentially prepared to pay on that basis too. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Been to Cheshire today. Off to Kent at 5.30 in the morning. Dewsbury on Thursday. The joys of an office job, eh?! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. I use beconase which is pretty effective and works out cheaper than buying pills, spray morning and night up each nostril. The over the counter stuff I think recommends only to use for limited period but doctor has had me prescribed on exactly the same stuff for a year now and is comfortable for me to carry on. 12. During a power cut in heavy snow we once walked to our local pub and our Staffy insisted on following us. The locals weren't impressed when it made a habit of guffing then wandering off innocently... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Sorry, links didn't work. But search for "cross cut" on eBay... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  15. If the OP is going to be felling trees with no-one else around, will they make a sound anyway? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Last week when there was four inches of snow on the ground, they had two shelves full of BBQ charcoal, cutlery, paper plates etc. Think they might have either been a bit caught out by the weather, or maybe just downright optimistic! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. We live in a 70's house and the clay liner is 6 inch. Couldn't get a 5 inch liner down it when the stove was fitted; one bloke nearly fell off the roof trying... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Not a great deal of snow in Warwick - about three inches - but this pic is from a guy I went to school with in Leek, where it's looking a bit worse... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. I find the same with ours, room feels a lot better when it is only slightly vented rather than sucking too much air through... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. ... Unless someone has genetically engineered a chipboard tree... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Firewood-Logs-Log-Burner-/321080663759?pt=UK_HG_FireplacesMantelpieces_RL&hash=item4ac1e61ecf Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Yeti is on order and had one on demo over the weekend. With less than 1k miles on the clock (so not freed off), we drove the 35 or so miles back from Northampton to Warwick on Sunday evening, via a-roads, with myself, the mrs, two kids and a few bits in the boot. It averaged 59.3mpg, that being with lights, heater and heated seats on. Comfy, very quiet cabin, looking forward to mine being delivered. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Hmm, too far away unfortunately but I'd definitely be interested if there was someone in my area who'd got anything similar going. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Robby, whereabouts, and what is the minimum order size? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24.
