  1. It was meant to be:thumbup1: Tony knows me though, cant compliment without having a little dig.
  2. Tony, You do spout some rubbish sometimes but you do have your uses. I do admire the way you often pick up on things others dont, by looking at the wider picture:thumbup:

Do you not find when you cut bits off, the ends go brown and it looks awful anyway? We best stop this conversation soon, we sound like a right couple of old women:lol: Besides, Tony will be along soon moaning at me for killing stuff:lol:

Quick tip for ya, they are succulents so like living in very dry conditions. I have found that if you 'accidentaly' water them every day, they quickly start to look rough and said mrs no longer wants them in the house:thumbup1:

Dont talk to me about the plants. My mum gave the Mrs one of her plants. As i'm sure you know, if you keep potting up the shoots that come out of the base, you end up with an awful lot of them, very quickly.
  6. What he said:thumbup1:
  7. Maybe he was driving a landy:001_tt2:

And there are a 100,000 doctors everywhere else that agree with me.

    It doesn't fix skin cancer.
  10. A forester would have felled it nice and low. An arborist can fell at whatever height he feels like:thumbup1:
  11. Those of us that know how important it is are trying to point it out and put a stop to it. Dont worry, it will be sorted in no time.
  12. 2001 is very old for a works vehicle. I'd always get the newest I could afford.
  13. cool, no worries then. just wasn't sure if you knew.
  14. 90 Transits can barely pull themselves, let alone a trailer.
  15. And you wont be able to tow a big trailer on your licence anyway.
  16. You wont get a lady in the back of a tipper, double cab or otherwise.
  17. Your groundie reckons you had plenty of time. Anyway, i've had my say on this thread and even the bloke who was there agrees with me, so I think ill leave it at that.
  18. Do we assume by all the pics that you are quite proud of your hinge?
  19. Its better than I could do.
  20. Agree, if someone googles your company name, and finds posts on here saying your work is rubbish, good luck getting much work.
  21. Just one more spot of realism then, you cant afford one.
  22. I'm going grey already. Ill never be to fat to climb though.
  23. Certain laws are brought in to help your causes because when we all feel a bit guilty its good to be able to say we are doing something. Such legislation is purely political, and only acts as a softener. Legislation that will actually make enough of a difference to put things right will never be used, because it would give too much inconvenience. Noone will vote for a party who will stop us doing things we want, for the sake of the environment. Your ideas being backed up by science, have no weight. Smoking and riding motorbikes very fast can be scientifically proven to reduce MY life expectancy, but I still do both. If I can be stupid enough to do these things that affect MY life (the most important thing to me) you stand no chance stopping me doing things that will effect other people, in the future, in a way that I dont even understand.
  24. Tony, You need to get used to this kind of way of thinking as it is the thinking of human nature. We, as humans are naturally greedy and selfish and to a greater extent stupid and oblivious to the damage we do. There is nothing you or anyone else can do about it. Humans have the ability to live however we wish, without really worrying about consequences. You cant really think that many of us are going to alter our actions in order to prevent detriment in years to come, when we are capable of living now, oblivious and ignorant to things which will affect us much sooner. I walked the dog today and saw people sunbathing, smoking and drinking with no thought for the consequences, whatsoever. If they can do that and put the thought of skin and lung cancer to the back of their mind, you stand no chance getting them to worry about the long term future of mankind, the planet and such like.
  25. Wow, I get a response on this thread. Seriously, my comments on your willow thread were nothing more than constructive criticism. I know I come across as a 'know it all', but what can I say:001_tt2: When I got a response that may have come from a 12 year old by text message, I tend to take the intellectual 'high ground'
