  1. An American taking the mickey out of Bradley Wiggins and an English person putting him back in his box, lol
  2. Why not?
  3. If it helps anyone, I have just spent a week using the GoPro 3 Black extensively and to say its frustrating is an understatement. Firstly I am a massive GoPro fan, so writing something negative about the 3 isn't because I'm a flamer and I think something else is better because I'm not and I don't. So with that in mind it's unbelievable to me that GoPro released this product with so many known problems. Once you can get the thing working the quality is unreal, in fact it's so good that's it's not possible for most PC's to handle the 4K resolution. I found myself knocking the recording resolution down to 1080P as my mac just couldn't handle playing the videos and that's with an SSD drive and flash memory. My other major complaint is that the battery life is rubbish, I ended up buying a second battery to ensure that I didn't get caught short. I am sure GoPro will fix all the known issues but for now if you want a hassle free camera don't go for the 3.
  4. No, that remote and Wifi back is for the previous versions of the GoPro. As you have the Hero 3, regardless of the model it's got the Wifi built in so all you need is the remote not the Wifi back. I have no idea if that remote will work with the Hero 3 but as that package is £10 cheaper than the remote by itself (albeit in the Argus sale) I would stay clear incase you end up with something that wont pair to the Hero 3) You need this one GoPro | Wifi Remote I'm in the US for a couple of weeks so picked up my GoPro here, stock of them in the UK has been difficult to find and the blacks have been going for silly money on ebay. It's also much cheaper and with the exchange rate in my favour it was rude not to buy a few One of the best places to get the stuff from in the UK though is dogcamsport which is the link above, great service.
  5. @ Martin, you can buy the strap from here BEST! NEW GoPro WiFi Remote Control Wrist Strap / Band / Mount GoPro RC Strap | eBay I just picked up my Hero 3 Black yesterday, really nice menu's and IMO much easier to use than my previous one. Can't wait to start using it properly.
  6. No, it doesn't come with one. You can't buy one at the minute either GoPro discontinued the velcro strap so you either have to phone around and see if anyone has old stock (unlikely) or buy another velcro strap and fashion it yourself. There will be a new kit coming out but as yet GoPro have not released it, see here GoPro Wi-Fi Remote Mounting Kit - Pre Order | London Camera Exchange
  7. I just did mine, first time in two years! I was surprised by how little came out of the flue that goes straight up and is used daily during the winter and by how much came out of the one with two 45's in it but is only generally use on the weekend. Interestingly (not really) I tried to light the debris that came out to see how easily it catches fire, even with a blow torch on it I couldn't get it to flare up. You must have to have a really heavy build up for this stuff to catch alight.
  8. "Class" is for people who are trying to get somewhere or people with a chip on their shoulder. To everyone else they are people.

  10. Hi Jonny, Just read this thread! Sorry to hear about this, what a pisser. Our village has had loads of machinery theft this past five months, all of the victims have had multiple visits. The second visit being after they have replaced the goods! par for the course it would seem.
  11. Actually heat in the upstairs room is pretty significant and with no smells. I have no idea about the legality of it in the UK though. If I was ever re-doing major work on my house I would put this in without a second thought.
  12. It's common in France KIT DE DISTRIBUTION D'AIR CHAUD / Magasin de Bricolage Brico Dépôt de Perigueux - trelissac
  13. +1 If you let the flue get hot first, i.e. really load it up with very dry kindling before you put the logs on does it still do this?
  14. Where the doors meet (on a lot of stoves) you often get the flat 10MM x 2MM self adhesive rope, maybe it's missing?
  15. You'd be surprised at the strength of the GoPro camera case, even the camera outside of the case stands up pretty well [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU-KvtA20v8]gopro freefall from 12500 without case - YouTube[/ame] I think where the drift works really well is the profile, for a helmet cam it's perfect and is less likely to get a knock in the first place, or get snagged up.
  16. You will have to buy the GoPro 3 then, much slimmer.
  17. There is some evidence to suggest cooking with Aluminium is not good for your health, I'd guess they offer the SS version for those that have a concern.
  18. If that has offended you, then please do accept it.
  19. I have a house in France, I've seen a lot of tradesmen come and go. Those that are successful are humble and offer a win win for both parties, those that fail usually do because they get a reputation. I'm am by no means offering you advice but as a customer if I had read some of your recent posts it would make me think twice about lining your pockets. The French are the most backward nation in the world but even they have grasped the use of the Internet. Apologies if you take offence.
  20. Australia had the same issues and they put ruddy great big signs up in place of the trees, not sure of the outcome but I much prefer a tree to a huge sign. Reward to root out waterfront tree killers
  21. Sorry, 5.6 was in meters
  22. 5.6 assuming 10x5x4 is in feet and is useable bed volume.
  23. It's available for download on iPlayer now. Not anywhere near as exciting as watching Felix create history though
  24. No I don't think so. If you look at the on/off button it is the right way up in the picture and shows 0.2 If is was the other way around then it would definitely show 20. The piece of wood looks more like a piece of charcoal.
  25. +1 Vancover Island, then island hopping some of the smaller ones. Summer skiing on the glacier at Whistler, white water rafting down the Chilliwack, awesome place to go.
