STT's seem to be the other choice. I have KM2's but are doing minimal miles so can't compare the wear.

I do, it's pretty accurate. I wear it skydiving and it's never far off my alti, I wouldn't rely on it however. I have to say I have a thing for watches, one for every occasion and if you buy sensibly the expensive ones hold their money.

Not much, it will however stop the branches scraping the tiles and stop the husks. The real concern is though no tree = new property, this is wimbledon, even a butchered tree is better than looking at a new house.

Can I ask for some advice please? There is a very old, very large, sweet chestnut adjacent to my mothers house. According to the new neighbour who's land it sits on, it's dead and needs to be removed as it represents a risk. Clearly you can see how dead it is in the pictures below Some of the tree runs over my mothers fence line, she would like it reduced to avoid picking up husks in what is reality a small garden. The tree has a TPO on it but we have just gained permission to reduce the crown by 40% however the new neighbour is pushing to have this cut down and removed!! I have my suspicions that they wish to do this to then gain planning to erect a house, then sell off the land with the planning permission. My question is therefore, with a TPO, what are the chances of the new neighbours reversing the TPO and having this wonderful old tree removed? Thanks for your help.

That is very, very nice. Out of interest, what would something like that sell for? Do you put a cost on your hours/materials or find a price that is acceptable regardless of time spent? (within reason)

It doesn't state that the women and men can't go at the same time, it just says two women at a time and one man at a time, you can therefore take two women and one man, i think.

Two trips: Trip One: Two women, one man Trip Two: One woman stays in the boat and goes back to collect the other man, returns to the island, job done.

If it helps, I load the buckets & fuel into the back of the Defender (pickup) to add additional weight to it. You will need the HD springs and an adjustable hitch but this helps. I always fancied a 130 but would find it too big for everything else but towing. -

I have a JCB 8025 ZTS, with the buckets and some mud on the tracks I am teetering close to 3.5T. I tow mine to and from central France with a 90 pickup, it's a right ball ache but i've never had any issues. I would much rather do it in a discovery though! -

I once remember a very funny series of events when a magazine published a libellous article. Unfortunately for the magazine the person the article was about contacted his solicitor who in turn offered the magazine the opportunity to pay a hefty bill or allow their client to write his own article in response and for it to be published. His article provided a very valuable forum for him to clear his name and made the magazine appear very petty in nature for publishing the original article with no consideration of the facts. If you clearly think this will damage your business why not approach the editor, offer to write an article in response, provide a valuable insight into firewood production and paint yourself in a positive light. The upside for you if you write a good article is free PR and you can make this guy look like the chump he clearly is. -
