7.
Yeah probably because we didnt flip the system through 180..... i knew i should read instructions better

8. As long as your in a tree and working safe it all good. I SRT for 90% these days probably 10% DRT. I find SRT much faster, efficient and better friction management for myself. Horses for courses really but i guess you really have to have given both a good bash to have a fair opinion.
9. So i took my logosol mill over to Dan for a play this week. We had a few problems getting the levels exact and Dan hopefully will post a picture of the buried treasure in the timber.

13. ooooohhhhh thats gotta hurt.
14. What other way is their........
15. cool ive been sent a link to this guy Ed Robinson's Wooden Things. Cannon carving bars - buy direct from a carver.
16. I was wondering what other size saws people used. Did know sthil did a carving saw range so nice one.
17. As the title says, getting into trying carving but wanted a smaller saw for use with a carving bar. Also any bar recommendations too Many thanks Ian
18. Im up for that if i can get some good-ish notice as thats whats been stopping me making the recent reccy climbs.
19. We had bread, so does that count....... Yeah before i asked her to marry me i did the ultimate test. Made her help me handball 15t of oak from a site to the yard. Never complained once.
20. Hell yes, cheaper than a meal out She loves being up the yard and shes getting better at carving now. So ive been persuaded into buying a small saw and carving bar + chainsaw trousers, boots and gloves for her
21. Yeah it was alright but its really hard to do bread in them. A lot of trial and error as once the bottom hardens it needs to be lifted to avoid burning.
22. Well me and the missus decided to go up the yard. She decided to make a small mushroom and make some bread in our dutch oven whilst i had my first go at an Easter Island head. I still have more to do but am relived how it came out as i thought i was going to make a right hash of it. Bearing in mind my last other than a mushroom carving was a cat/rabbit/pig animal mutation.....
23. Good on you, its a great gesture. Im sure they will be over the moon with the donation.
24. Hi Chris, Its all to do with insurances over here. By removing the downward element you remove the risk of damage on the joints. I recently went 30ft down a pole in ireland after a belay failure so it still goes wrong, but very rarely. As for the belay element anyone climbing under the 15 second mark will be out accelerating the belay crew by around 4-7ft so the belay element is great for people having their first goes. Also belay is a safe controlled way to recover anyone who is injured or who has a spike failure. The best element is here timing is probably the most accurate around as you start your clock once your foot leaves a pressure plate and stops once you hit the buzzer at the top. Which means sometimes the top few places are won and lost in 100's of a second. Hope this covers your questions?
