  1. Nice to see people innovating from the standard setup.
  2. Interesting who's running the workshops?
  3. Hi Al, I've always preferred a swivel for srt. I think it's just personal preference to be honest.
  4. My backs never been so happy.
  5. A bit of catch up work today
  6. I think your best bet might be tree stuff for getting hold of one. Like drew I got mine in the first batch.
  7. Here's the science behind it. Don't ask me what it means other than max speed after 5 seconds.
  8. As the title says, hope you enjoy
  9. Hahaha yeah nz
  10. That could cause a halt to everything.
  11. Not sure Arran, Nick or Luke at treestuff would be the best to ask or Kevin Bingham directly. I think they'd be under £200 though. P.S looks like your having a blast in Oz
  12. Hey Jon, no worries bud, yeah he was rocking 30 seconds something and at 81 that's pretty epic. I met a lot of people off arbtalk which was nice to put faces to user names. The highlight for me was nick pott daughter Josie doing the 80ft climb considering she doesn't like heights. She got to the top and the crowd were cheering her on, was really good to be in that atmosphere at that time.
  13. Hi Luke, it does flatten cougar and I found kern wasn't the best. Velocity lives up to it's name if you want to go fast. Tachyon is pretty good too. It's basically adjustable to whatever rope size you have which is pretty good.
  14. Yes very similar to be honest although i prefer the mechanism of the rope runner. I prefer taking a bit of weight off the rope runner and depressing the lever rather than directly pressing the lever with my full weight on it.
  15. Hi Al, Indeed it is mid line attachable. It's hard to compare it to the hitch hiker as that's more along the same spec as the rope wrench. But I know preference boils down to the liking of a hitch or fully mechanical. I would say the hitch hiker has a finer descent transition though as for me that would be hard to beat from when I was using one. I haven't used the hitch hiker with the pinto pulley that people add now so I couldn't give a fair opinion on slack tending either at this present moment.
  16. Ill try to make it over but it all depends on if I'm available to get off the husquvarna arena
  17. hopefully this picture dispels the myths about it being hard to get to the tips using srt.
  18. Ok, So I've been rocking about the tree crowns daily since the end of march 2014. I wrote an overview for EssentialARB earlier in the year so that would be a good place to start but ill talk about my own experiences of it here. Firstly its very much the same as using the Rope Wrench Lockjack combo, extremely responsive and smooth once you dial it in. Theres an adjustable bolt in the top which you can adjust to finite your desired response on the rope. Its super smooth ascending the rope with minimal friction much like the unicender. To increase ascent ease i found a small tape sling (as small as i could find) between the bottom pulley attachment point. A snap crab and chest loop means you have a smooth handsfree ascent system. I haven't had the chance to use it with HAAS yet so i cannot comment on that setup. I know there are a few others who have had one for as long as me and are members on here so hopefully they will share their experiences of theres. Feel free to fire any questions at me and ill do my best to answer them. But overall I'm very, very happy with it.
  19. One from the other day.
  20. John have I mentioned how much I love your tractor mounted hiab.
  21. I find if you do it badly once you don't get asked to do it again. Hahah
  22. How long did it take jonny??
