  1. I'm starting to have a few each year for a week. Pricey, Nathan and now Marcus.
  2. Hahaha well there has to be some perks.
  3. I was thinking where had this thread gone. A good groundy must be able to judge the smooth deceleration of a piece of timber. Confirm a plan of action with the climber as well as telling him it's too big.
  4. Well talking of conny bashing that's what we're doing for the next 2 days.
  5. Give me a few years to pay it off and I'll certainly be up for a chat about one.
  6. I try to specialise in how I can do jobs. So mostly interesting work at nice places. But like today's job it was horrifically horrible. I stink of river mud, sweated myself a few pounds running back and forth with winch lines. The other rubbish jobs I never put up because I'm running around like a headless chicken trying to get it done quickly.
  7. Well John, much better IMO. However if the tree your mounting too isn't upright it can cause it to stall out. I do use off cuts of wood if I need to level it up.
  8. Winching dead heads mainly today. Needed some serious ratios to break the suction.
  9. Many years ago we used a setup like this. It's my goal.
  10. Yeah, the first year was a trial run as such. Just to see who would attended and what numbers with low promotion.
  11. Hi David, clippesby hall in norfolk. It's already on the cards for next year. The zip line was spectacular I must add exciting the oak canopy.
  12. So I thought I'd add the first pics. I know a number of members attended. Please add some if you went. I had the skid steer up for people to have a go on, a beautiful Turkey oak was the tree that a zip line got setup on.
  13. Cheers only 103ft to the top of that welly.
  14. Hahaha good shout.
  15. It was protecting me from my huge hangover. other than that it rained a bit during the morning.
  16. Being able to free some time up with the wife today. Got to do some family time so that made me smile a lot as work seems to be getting in the way. Also if anyone ever goes to holy in norfolk there's an awesome cafe call horratios.
  17. That's some awesome kit Gary. Looking forward to a video.
  18. Ain't that the truth.
  19. Cheers guys, yeah Paul and it's awesome. We got it it finished by 2pm. Digger ripped out the stumps. The skid steer kept 4 people and 2 machines very busy.
  20. We started a couple of days contracting for another local company. The diggers going to pull the stumps out.
  21. Cheers buddy, took a bit of time to save up but after seeing Adam using damos grab. Quite excited about it.
  22. Nice work Nathan, shame about the maples rooting area being buried.
  23. Cheers David, sounds good.
  24. If you'd of asked me before I took delivery if of said once a week but it goes out on average 3 days a week. I've just bought the log grab today as I'm staring to extract other tree surgeons timber onto their trucks. There pretty expensive compared to the rate of return of a chipper. I don't think I could be without it now though but then my business setup is ideal for a skid steer. Cheers about the pics. Although part of me wishes I'd bought the 800tx because it's awesome.
