  1. The only problems weve had with fencing in bad weather is the mess you make in peoples gardens. mainly mud if its wet no matter how hard you try it wont clean up nice its spoils a good job.
  2. I know it's steep but I recently got quoted £40 for a regrind of a 4 inch set of blades. Bloody el that is steep! i used to take mine to saturn machine knives to get them sharpened but it was a real ball ache taking them to sheffield and waiting with them! i found a company 5 miles away that sharpen them for £6 a set. I just take them straight down and they put them straight on the lathe and do them there and then. only takes 10 mins pays to shop around
  3. I've just treated myself to some pfanner Gladiators, a new silky blade, cam for my spiderjack, and a new throwbag. Merry Christmas to me
  4. Ive still got 1...i get fuel/oil/hydraulic oil filters from a local motorist supplies only cost about £20 just take the numbers off of the filters. I got new belts from a local engineering firm...easy peasy.

    Uniform

    I bought a load of t shirts and jumpers for me and my lad to wear and we did look smart whilst out on site. However he never looked after any of them/ washed them! and left 3 jumpers on site so i gave in at the end just got some hiviz ones from arco £6 a throw "they will be getting worn in the new year"
  6. We tipped at some allotments every now and then for about 3 months before i got told not to bring anymore. because they wasn't using it as much as they thought. strangely enough the council started using it as a local tip off a few weeks later
  7. Are pfanner type c's any good? im looking at the kevlar extreme or ventilation? they look nice but are pricey! maybe santa will bring me some
  8. What machine do you use "if any" to move material around your yard? does it go out on site? ive been looking at skid steer what i can use to move log about load chip and take out on site if needed...

Im in the process of building a open storage shed for my logs...Ive managed to source some telegraph poles for the uprights was going to use old scaffold boards and strip as many free pallets down for the sides steel box section for the roof... Any photos of your storage sheds would be great "always good to knock a few ideas about"

I bought 1 2 week ago what with the never ending rain... good points kept me dry all day even in side way rain! fits under harness nice high collar keeps rain out. bad points...you do sweat a lot but what you expect. no hood which means i cant really wear it unless i got helmet on. and it was around £100 so i tend to fanny about in it trying not to fip it

    Has anybody seen and know where i could buy a Plant safe big enough for a Mitsubishi Canter? preferably second hand.

  18. Sometimes i pick my girlfriend up from work, when i am sat waiting i always look at the trees at the police offices. last time i was there was a month ago and this 1 sycamore looked fine but today i noticed the whole canopy had took a nose dive! I saw these on it....
  19. Ive been in business for almost 3 years now and am still slowly building it up. This year i have been really lucky in getting a lot of commercial work of which all of it has found me through my website. Im not the type to just sit there and hope the work comes to me therefore i want to be more pro-active and bring more commercial jobs to me. But how am in the process of re designing the website and are considering chas accreditation also putting my groundie through more tickets in the hope that we look more attractive to potential clients. Im typing out a draft email/letter which i plan on sending to various schools, construction firms parish councils etc. Is there another way of breaking through?

    Thanks Graham. the tree looks like its had the top knocked out not long ago. would that explain the large varigated leaves?
