  1. If I was buying my first chipper again I'd look at buying a new tw 125 or something similar. Put that 3 grand towards then tick the rest! Repayments wouldn't be that much. I'd never buy a second hand chipper again! But that's just my owwn opinion.

  8. After taking an apprentice on 5 months ago I was outraged to discover he had been taking drugs whilst on site @ work! This was while I was dismanteling a row of large connifers down the side of a main road! He was completely out of it couldn't speak and was falling infront of on comming traffic! If it wasn't for the actions of my father he would of caused serious injury! I've bent over backwards for this lad! Picked him up dropped him off spent hours an hours training him up! I've spent just over a grand on ppe work wear and a new saw for him to use. I sacked him instantly which has left me right in the **** work wise. Has this happend to anyone before? And what was your reaction?

  15. Why is this monkey puzzle full of dead limbs? Even the ones that look healthy are starting to go brown on the tips! And some of the dead ones have small scars on them?

  17. I felled 4 lombardy poplars a few months ago and ground stumps out about a foot below ground level. Now where the root system extends across the lawn there's new growth poking through. What chemical would be best to apply?

  22. Ive gotta look at a job tomorrow. the customer told me on the phone that his garden backs onto a golf course and there are a few trees on the land belonging to the golf course that are growing so close to his house he wants them taking down. the golf course has said thats they can be taken down as long as he pays for the work doing. im wundering if the trees are causing a problem who should cover the cost? golf course or customer?
