hi kev hows things,,havnt been on here much,,,,,lately,,,,been busy with shows,,bit of tree work,,,,,am after some larch,cedar western hemlock,,,,etc,,for chainsawing mushrooms, etc,,do you have a contact for me to get some delivered to berkshire,,,so need supplier and haulage?? am i asking for inpssible,,,
log splitter is working fine but trouble with four way splitter,,,

hi after some 8ft lengths of timber for chainsaw carving, larch, western red, or at a push spruce,,,,cedar would be great,,,about 12-16" diameter, 10 ton, or less,,,,,reading ,berkshire area,,,, big ask but worth ago,,,,

I bought the riko AV11 this yr with its own engine,,,good strong,,machine,,bloody heavy to pull up and down my yard,,,so towable one would be good,,but extra £500 odd ,,,,so more spinach,needed,,,,, havnt managed to get anything stuck on it at mo,,,,bit juicy,,,,but worth the money,,,,

My advice would to go on a one day course near you,,they will teach you the basics,,what tools you really need,,,,,not all the fancy ones they`d like you to have,,,,,,then you can get some direction on what you actually want to achieve,,,,bowls are very hard to master, but basic ones arnt,,,in between centres is easiest for a beginner,,,, Look up your local club,,there a great help,,and will give you endless free advice,,,and usually have get togethers,,,,,,, you can turn green wood,,especially to practice on,,and its very forgiving,in time you will learn lots,,,,,grab yourself a book like carlos said,,,,try e-bay,,theres loads on there,,, Good luck,,,,,its adictive

me and my boys swear by haix,,blue ridge,,there comfy from the off,,and apart from **** laces,,,work a treat,,,,yes they last a yr,,but hey,,were not binding books,,were doing tree work,,they get abused,,,,,,

thats a tricky question,,,,,,i honestly think they dont make a long lasting pair of chainsaw pants for a reason,,,,,,,they wouldnt sell as many,,,,,lets be honest,,,if they last a yr your lucky,,,chainsaw always melts em,,,,somewhere,,,,,,you get that anoying hole where it fills your chainsaw boots up..and the mrs kills you,,,for sprerading the days work across the floor,,,,....they dont make long lasting chainsaw trousers for the same reason ford dont make rot resistant cars,,,,,,,,they`d be stuffed,,,,,,

hi lorry time is the issue,,and practice,,,,ive been woodturning on a pole-lathe for 20 yrs,,,,and traditional crafts is my hobby/job,,,,,juggling the tree surgery and crafts,,s the difficult thing,,,,,,,,,,if you get five mins start with a three legged milking stool I`ll post a pic,,,when can find one,,,,

hi dean,,made it with a load of old ladder making planes,,,there like big pencil sharpeners,,,,turns square wood into round wood,,,,,rigged up a old robin reliant gear box,,to a motor , and a collet to the drive shaft,,,bingo turning device for large pencil sharpener,,,,,just weave the seat,,,away you go,,,
