  12. err arnt you suppossed to be there now?
  13. 10 m3 in a morning with = A ) a processor,,,b) a tractor to run it) c running costs,,,,,d) probably cheaper Than £50 per ton wood.......we dont all have that sort of money tied up,,,hence I cant afford £50 per ton,,,,we produce 1m3 per 40 mins,,,,sell at £80- true costs =£40 profit! thats with arb waste,,,,?
  14. rather pay my lads and keep them in a job,,,,
  15. dito that,,,use it for rafters under my sheeting for timber stores ,,thats it,,,
  16. michael, totally agree with your view,,,theres no way i can afford to buy in at £50 a ton, usually green, and then sell at £80 per m3,,,,thats why I dont!, but you`ll find the people who do buy in at that price have to sell it at more, otherwise it isnt worth doing, so there higher price per :thumbup:m3 is justified,,,, my labour isnt free as such, but usually covered by arb work earlier in the day,,,,,,I run out every yr,,,but cant see me buying in as too busy with arb work anyway,,,if I sell everything from our waste, then i`m a happy man!
  17. me,,too,,,,,we utilise our spare man hours after tree work to split and bag logs that have come in from arb work, not only does it keeps the yard tidy, its money in the bag for next yr, got 60m3 ready for 2013-14 already, I sell softwood(dry) off cuts from the mizer to people you think £80 for a m3 is too much, they buy twice as much ,,but dont see it that way,,makes me chuckle:001_tt2:
