  1. looks like we're not using hairspray. Cheers forthe heads up
  2. Your mrs will wonder what I've been doing with it. Giving my eyebrows a silky panten shine
  3. Use the mrs's hair spray mate. The aerosol works well because you can properly spray it down the rubbers and hairspray evaporates pretty quick. I'll give you a hand mate
  4. Ewan throwing his toys out of the pram again
  5. You've no doubt turned over a decent amount of work in your time with him. He may even give it to you as a going away prezzie Beat me to it Andy lol. I wouldn't just take it though.
  6. Mebe (fat bast**d style) P.s. I know my carpet's gorgeous
  7. A few from today. Class 2 on some old access line, cougar blue and another rope guide
  8. Nice pic Broadie . Bit of a city scape going on in the background ay. Weather here's not bad mog. Sorry to disappoint mate
  9. Well it was either that or "my dopey mate wouldn't quit banging on about how much better the hc is all because the pinto guides the rope against the biner in certain circumstances.....so I put a spacer in there to shut him up" Yea it's a Timmy special . I recon it's just common sense but I was asked not to use it at work. More because of the heat resistance of the rope rather than the setup of the knot
  10. Good idea mate . I never even considered setting up a mechanical advantage system like that
  11. When the system is loaded the pinto stands upright, which means that when you tend slack the rope runs against the biner instead of the pulley sheave. The spacer basically acts like a pulley. It's the one flaw with the pinto I've found.
  12. Here you go. Just tied a vt. It releases fast, grabs reliably and self tends with a bit of weight below. FYI. I'm not condoning the use of this by others. It's a bit experimental.
  13. Nice one mate. That's a really good idea Looks like it'll retrieve nicely
  14. Looks cool mate . I did one out of 10mm Armour Prus What did you use in the eye of the poison ivy?
  15. Cheers Ewan, was wondering where that was. It's a good setup Atree. You can just descend on your hitch, fig 8 etc and just retrieve it by pulling on the tail without having to tie a dangling tail.
  16. Oi! Just seen this. I'm full o useful information
  17. That sounds cool. I'd be well up for that
  18. Hose pipe mate. Just have to make a hole in them on one end to thread some string through to tie them round the shank.
  19. Hey mate. Not sure of anyone your end of the country. Have you any splicing yet?
  20. Looking forward to it Adam. Great thread
