  1. just over 3ft i'd guess, can measure it tomorrow
  2. i have a 12''/13'' diameter lump of cotoneaster sat in yard, if it sits there much longer the firewood elves will have it up their jumper. whats the interest in it? i didn't notice any special grain/unique features about it when i tripped it up with the saw.
  3. It'll be fine:biggrin: just don't forget to get a friend to film you! sounds a fun job
  4. get the tyres taken off the rim and turned when they have nearly gone on the outside and put pressure up to help them run on tyre centres a bit, my chipper eats tyres for fun too:biggrin:
  5. yes unless you use ebc pads with new discs:lol: and you can change from low to high anytime ..just expect your drain plug to look like a porcupine:biggrin:
  6. i got this for £1200, and would recommend one for towing and driving in the woods, even done the odd landy trial in it:thumbup1:
  7. My insurance co said they would insure my firewood if I wanted, however they would have wanted it hidden away from prying eyes and virtually unstealable first, if you went to that much trouble you probably wouldn't need insurance.
  8. Millers oils do a nice shot of lrp (lead replacement) with an octane booster. Makes petrol engines happy and puts lead in yer pencil:lol:
  9. Maybe try a rope ladder, above a pile of nice soft Woodchip:thumbup1:
  10. :thumbup1:I tow occasionally with auto 300tdi disco, it does ok but prefer manual for heavy stuff. Just use 1st/2nd/3rdgear selection for steep descents or face cooking the brakes.
  11. Get a room you guys
  12. still not got that new visor?
  13. Beech, hawthorn and apple
  14. Always makes me laugh when I see the Bradford tourist destinations board on the m62, if I was a tourist I'd not be stopping near Bradford. Bad enough working there occasionally, put angle iron round your van and hold on!
  15. And the apprentice is having his first day in chainsaw pants and boots haha
  16. Bring us a cornetto dean, I'm stuck up a sycamore at dalton eating greenflies, think the greenhouse below is sending up superheated air:biggrin:
  17. going to build one and send it through the neighbours veg patch hehe:lol:
  18. I'd use either a minidigger or a teenager, better still get the teenager to use the digger then he/she will still have enough energy to split a cube of logs before 5pm:thumbup1:
  19. i did haha, went for cbt just over a year ago and ran a 30yr old suzuki gs125 all lastyear, then sold it to my mate to get to work on as his commute bike was stolen. the 400 is a big heavy lump compared with the toy 125, very capable off road, much better than my riding:lol:
  20. here is my 2004 DRZ400, im practicing for full bike licence and just getting used to riding it through the fields for now:biggrin:
  21. this was a well rotted woodchip delivery and that stuff is heavy, the fuel consumption goes up a bit dragging the toy digger about but beats buying a crane or handballing
  22. can't see a problem with the idea, a local bog merchant round here regularly delivers single portaloos with a simple looking set up hanging off the back of a 110.
  23. its not hard at all, just grab the bag by the ears and pull, usually lands upside down so you get your bag back:thumbup1:
  24. Been on TW website today, there is now a timberwolf owners club, I bet greenmech don't have one of them!
