  1. The roof blew off the last firewood store lastnight, I'll never get the stuff dry again this winter. Oh well I'll build a proper pole barn in spring ready for next season. Done working this year except for fixing the new (to me) Landrover in treequips luxury workshop
  2. Well hung curtain company, in Halifax
  3. Not sure, about 10t I think, it's my mates useful wagon, be real if it had bolster pins. The bed is 23ft and the crane has come in handy plenty of times.
  4. I could collect it but it'd have to be free or super cheap to make it worth fetching from the wrong side off the hill.
  5. Spotted Osama bin laden in the stove glass yesterday
  6. One of the lads just texted me, Ldv won't start, neither will the vehicle that we park in the entrance to stop wandering vans. hope the disco starts when I go out. And I've already had a waster on the phone wanting a quote over the phone for bushes cutting at the other side of town, temping to go back to bed and try again tomorrow
  7. I have a video of someone trying to bumpstart a 460, I promised I wouldn't share it online, but maybe one day if they wind me up 😃
  8. Can measure tomorrow, I think these were 8ft ish
  9. I have a few English Oak beams, 6"x6", or a few old beams to pick through including some short Oak kingposts that were made in 1889. Can try to find pics tomorrow. Huddersfield. Ed
  10. I always say, that guy's called Warren, warren ob.
  11. not trying to put you off, but some sort of structure in the cab would be nice when theres a weight in the back.
  12. I have my landline number going only to my mobile, it took a bit of setting up but works great. Vodafone will give you a local landline number through 'one net' for a small monthly fee. Mine took a bit of convincing them it is possible as the number had been a bt number for years not a new number.
  13. 064 will run a 30'' bar fine, good solid heavy saw. As long as the chain is sharp it'll chew wood at a satisfactory rate. I just swapped mine for an 066 and there's a definite jump up in power running the same bar.
  14. You have to walk with a 12ft stick carried vertically, then when you sink people will know where to put flowers as the top has a chance of poking out ..maybe
  15. Might be a bit big for you? This one is 4ft dia. The hollow only goes in about 4/5ft ish, and its solid at the butt end. I'll get a better photo later.
  16. Here's one I made a few weeks ago, Oak log about 6ft long with the top quarter sliced off and sanded. A simple memorial bench
  17. I got the 12 rung ones from Clark forest early this year, delivered by a red faced man who carried them 1/4 mile from his lorry! Great people to deal with. I got the three adjustable leg ones, can't imagine life without them now, just really stable.
  18. I have a dumpsite near outlane, depends which side of Halifax you're working. Or near Barkisland if its horse safe and you're driving a landrover.
  19. I had to remove this nesting pigeon two weeks ago. Yuck!
  20. Its popped open for ages now, fine in summer as I can hold it shut with my elbow, with the window shut though it needs a bit of help, I did have a stable door bolt cable-tied inside which worked perfectly but was removed for the Mot. Recently the hinge has pulled the bolts out of the bulkhead (which I thought was the best bit on the vehicle), still it keeps chugging along and couldn't possibly be replaced with a new plastic comfy piece of soft japanese cheese.
  21. Haha, yeah i wish it had a pto, it either runs on a diesel powerpack or the chipper hydraulics. I won't bore you with pics of how much it needs a major overhaul except to say i've started to wear my seatbelt after nearly falling out when the door opens, there is a prussic cord I attach to the belt buckle now.
  22. Oops sent that before id finished! Then theres a new loom and might replace the rear tub, worth it but its a bit of an outlay now for years of enjoying. Oh might treat her to a dashboard
  23. Similar dilemma here, the old 200tdi work tug needs a chassis this year sometime, £2100 for a 130 chassis, then all the extra bits, could do with a bulkhead, doors, stretch the cab about 17''
