  1. yeah thats what im looking at it has attachments for other stuff i just want to know if they are reliable hardworking etc does the engine last, is the build quality going to last at least 3-5 years without rusting and busting ?. does anyone have one thats rates or hates ?.
  2. looking into one of these and not much info on here about them does anyone own one have a honest opinion of them what are thier weaknesses etc appreciate any input
  3. The claw is useless for tree surgery and makes wearing spike awkward i remove them so no point having that feature for arial tree work since they come blunt anyway. My ones have split at the front right under the soul so not really rating these anymore and the cost far exceeds the quality of product, buts it just my opinion
  4. We just done our first intro video, its not perfect but you got to start somewhere. An introduction to T.H Tree Services - Tree Surgeon in Essex | T.H Tree Services | Tree Care
  5. Can one of the company send me a info pack and cost ?.
  6. ohh very interesting when will info be availible to the public ?.
  7. Another small rigging job for 2013 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ9Fn0w4Sj4&feature=share&list=UUOZUIvcotvCXNTBz0RDCWDw]Horse Chestnut removal, Essex. - YouTube[/ame]
  8. Appreciate mate, been teaching them to let it run and catch it lower down. Starting to run like a well oiled machine. You always get one that kicks back into them stem for a bit of the pole dance
  9. check the screws arnt over tight and go to the gym
  10. they are flimsy like most of the new stihl stuff, but should not be stiff its spring loaded undo the side casing and check the mechanism is clean
  11. Nice saturday job pollard down to 30ft leave everything onsite always a winner
  12. not sure its the muffs with the plastic clip that had one screw holding the mount on ?. maybe i should just buy some super glue
  13. Yeah £180 for a lid is ott. get anything good spike ?
  14. Hmm undecided, the stein is good but i keep loosing screws and i find the muffs don't seal your ear enough. Maybe they should do a predator looking one lol
  15. Ah thanks mate ill stick to the steins still the best imo !
  16. Protos Integral Forest Headset - Honey Brothers Ltd Need a new skid lid and after anyone who has used one for some info ?.
  17. I wonder how much longer your hands will last using gloves ?. I'm thinking a hell of a lot. If i climb without gloves even for a few minutes i can feel my fingers strain, yet with gloves the rubber does the work so your fingers last a lifetime.
  18. Personally mate i think your better off with box and angle iron, probs cost similar to wood easy to weld strong will last. check my facebook page on my signature to see the truck took no more than 2 hours to do
  19. People cant hold the forum responsible for an individuals opinions. It is up to everyone to make their own decisions and use the forum for, at best guidance. Maybe everyone should sign up to some clause that states that if not already done so. Just don't moderate it in a bias way let the forum be a free and open place to discuss, 7 billion people have that many different views, we cant learn from restrictive bias people . I personally want to see the right and the wrong way of doing things as that gives me the best information on what i should be doing for myself. Anyway i think AT does a great job, alot of arbs don't share info and younger guys have to learn the hard way, on here i learnt some good stuff.
  20. i use cheap rubber coated tight fitting gloves reduces finger fatique incredibly. stronger grip, less energy used plus offers a small antivib effect which all helps, keeps your hands warmer in winter which helps. climbing without gloves seriously ruins your fingers at a much faster rate. and i cant believe climbers still use prussiks, what a pita way of climbing with all the tech about now
  21. http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/network/developingournetwork/documentationandinformation/buildersguide/downloads/developers_guide.pdf here ya go so 450mm soft surface, 350mm hard surface.
  22. Liked #36 i think its a good idea we always put vids and pics up and its nice to see other arbs doing the same.
  23. Your right there are people who cant drive at all, and those who with no experience can drive very well. My issue is the jump from 3.5 to hgv i would only need a 6.5 tonne iveco, but to go through the hassle of hgv training etc for a truck the same size as i already drive is just stupid. They should do an extra test but one that just requires the driver to prove they can handle a 6.5tonner, and not require the hgv stuff mots and crazy checks all the time.
