  1. Looks like the same tree as below lol Its amazing that 3 have gone the same was so close to each other. Lucky this one went down where it did and didnt do any more damage
  2. The tree behind the broken one is split as well and when i looked this morning is now on the ground. The broken one is still sitting on the good tree. So i guess we will be using the tractor and my Makita 7900 fsirly soon We have this one to deal with in Alness the stump in the bottom pic is one that did the same last winter, More pics to follow.
  3. Spear and Jackson neverbend plastic leaf rake. Ive had the same one for 4 years now and as long as they are kept out of the sun when not in use they dont get soft. Just the right stiffness for what we do. I use a cheap adjustable spring tine rake as well it works really well for clearing prunings out of shrub beds.
  4. Well Al I finally got me some double bevel and Goofy files from Save edge. Ive tried the double bevel on a couple of teeth and it dont seem so difficult! In a moment of boredom i shapened the chain on the 262XP with a round file then remembered Frank "Crofter" suggested a few rubs with a Goofy would improve a round filed chain. I went from inside out and lined the corner up really well and it woks a treat the improvement in speed was very notacable. They are not true Goofy filed yet as the far end of the top plate from the corner has not been got at yet. No real idea about angles yet just going with what seems right to me.
  5. Im on my second Dell laptop this one is a Inspiron 1720 and was on a deal at PC world a couple of years ago really decent spec for £400. Does everything i need and more! My first one still works a treat but i wanted a better screen as it could only be viewed from straight on.
  6. If i pop my phone out of keylock i just press down on the joystick to go to voice record, Saves a lot of arguments when played back on loudspeaker!
  7. I use the Shrug and go "Minimum English" in my best Polish accent technique:biggrin:
  8. CLIC GOGGLES BLACK FRAME BLACK ANTI FOG LENS NIB on eBay (end time 23-Mar-10 11:54:39 GMT) I use Clic goggles they have foam apart from alittle bit at the side and close with a magnet at the front pricy but i have had 2 years of strimming and saw work out of mine!
  9. The gearheads swap from the 85 up to the 250 easily the 350 upwards uses a different head and shaft. I was using a muffler modded FS250 for a while but i now use a FS450 its like using a brand new razor blade compared to the 250s the extra power is really handy and the vibes are fairly low You do need to fill that little tank a lot!
  10. If i could only keep one of my saws it would be the 262XP Mine is ported and is an awsome saw it cuts so fast with a 8 pin sprocket and 16" bar you dont have time to worry about vibes lol As for weight its a fairly light saw for the power they produce!
  11. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoUf1xmS4E8]YouTube - Firewood Processor RCA Tajfun SLOVENIA[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdHr07c4Cd0&feature=related]YouTube - Tajfun Sägespaltautomat Sägespalter[/ame] We have this more basic model. If you have someone feeding you with logs this thing will shift a huge amount in a day. We can heap a transit pick up in 20 mins easy. We had a little trouble with small logs falling through the gap at the start of the conveyor but i screwed on a bit of plywood and that fixed that! you need to clear the saw chips fairly often i think it was about £7500
  12. PAUL MCKENNA.....I Can Make You Sleep.... BRAND NEW on eBay (end time 26-Jan-10 16:49:03 GMT) Its worth a try. You can get it cheaper maybe from Tesco. I found that i now sleep much better after getting a humidifier in the bedroom.
  13. The Phil taylor one was awsome more because i HAD to go to the pub to watch it, The GF works in the pub so i drive in and she drives home:thumbup:
  14. It was still a good final
  15. Adams average in the final to win was about 93 Phil taylor was over 104.... Adams wouldnt have made the top 8 in the PDC I think taylor had a 111 average last year???? PDC World Darts Championship - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  16. I know the feeling i have a pair of Meindl crack pro mountain boots and the right boot is perfect but the left gives me a huge blister behind my little toe they are just a little too narrow. Im a fairly small 8 usually but these are just silly tight and supposed to be 8s Ebay here they come!
  17. Now me im a Stihl bar fan they are long lasting tough bars. The problem is what do you do when you want a bar to fit a small mount Husky like my 262XP:001_smile:
  18. I have not had any problems with Norton and the 2009 version works so well i dont even know its there! they want £45 to renew the subcriptions and 2010 was only £24 so looks like i will be installing 2010 in 2 days!
  19. I see! Your thinning the kerf of the tooth. A few more sharpens and you will need to thin the rivets and have a bar with no paint!
  20. Ok will check Troutfishers thread again am sure he mentioned stoning the cutters not the rivets.
  21. Al i read about the guys "stoning" the cutters after filing what does this involve? and what stones do they use? Im guessing this will get a smoother sharper edge than a file. Do you hone to very slightly dull the edge to make it more durable? I used to use chisels to take foam off paint in a freezer factory and bluntening the edge very slightly worked wonders.
  22. You ever tried Als suggestion of grinding a little off the back of the cutter to improve boring? So are those ATOP guides actually on sale in Sweden or is it just the US and Canada?
  23. Hey Al you cant just claim to make race chain! Dont you know theres only 2 people on the planet that can make that LOL:001_tt2:
  24. Oregon quote 15% faster and thats with their crappy angles!
