  1. Up to maybe £140 if i was to sell mine thats what i would need.
  2. Dont know if its been mentioned yet but its UVB that burns you and is known to cause cateracts, And UVA that causes ageing. So check what you buy does protect against both, Some only do UVB. I should never get cateracts as i wear sunnys all year around:001_smile:
  3. I thought it was a pic of Ron Perlman ron perlman - Google Search
  4. Have the limiters on the adjustment screws been removed?
  5. Nope I ported it a while ago and its running a 8 pin sprocket. Man is that chain hungry! Stihl RSC in 3/8 standard raker hight.
  6. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UTDBQ-N82o]YouTube - Ported Husqvqrna 262XP Goofy filed chain[/ame] Goofy filed freehand, It aint that difficult:biggrin:
  7. Its real quick with the twin splitters! Doing short blocks they are inclined to fall into the splitter sideways Grr the saw chip channel needs constant clearing but with the 2 of us working it its not a problem. Had to close the gap at the bottom of the conveyor as the smaller stuff was falling through and jamming the converor. Couple of little tweaks and its a good machine. We somtimes use just the splitters for blocks that are too big to go through the saw and you cant turn off the oiler so it can make a bit of a mess.
  8. LOL with 200 psi compression you need an Elastostart although a MS460 rescue saw handle might be better.
  9. Our Valtra with the Tajfun 320 proccessor. The main reason i dont like the reverse controls is that it ruins your visibility when reversing and the pedals are a joke! Love the completly flat floor and the fact that there is no handbrake lever as the handbrake comes on when you put the forward reverse lever below neutral. also the rpms drop to about 650 with the handbrake on.
  10. Ported 262XP running a little rich. A tach is no substitute for setting a saw by ear but once set by ear/timed cuts/plug colour its useful to check quickly that its still in tune. Saying that at least when you try to set a rev limited saw its easy to see if its 4stroking or on the limiter as the tach goes nuts.
  11. Hmm 15,500 is the MAX rpms! mine runs best at just under 15,000:001_tongue: Sounds scary even at that LOL Only saw i have that i dont want or need to port:thumbup:
  12. I had a tiny tach and they swapped it for the tt-20K the tiny has a wee thin button battery and seems to be really badly affected by cold and the unit wont work. The TT-20K has a PP9 battery and works better it also comes with a clip on lead that is handy as i you can clip it on the plug wire and have both hands free to run whatever your using.
  13. Valtra is made in Finland. We have a Valtra 101 thats 120 HP and seems to be a good strong reliable tractor. Its got controls in the back so you can turn the seat around and drive it backwards! Totally useless but you can do so! Seen one with a big stump grinder fitted and it looked useable but the reverse controls are not very ergonomic.
  14. LOL it was hit by a lorry and i just couldnt resist parking the tractor against it:biggrin: I doubt even flat out it would have done that!
  15. Posed pic of the Kubota STa30 lol sent this pic to the boss!
  16. Thistles and Willow herb that were taller than me! The old Valtra we had, Good basic tractor but man this one was basic!
  17. This was home for a full summer It went a little wrong this day lol on the 3rd pass the ground just gave way GRR
  18. I found myself sitting in a Renault tractor that cuts roadside verges all parked up with my flask in my hand and my sunglasses on. Took a while to find but i figured it out on what verges had been cut until i found a road with only one side cut lol How sad am i!
  19. Fair point! Try changing the oil on an Argocat by taking out the sump plug!!!!!! I find that sucking out the oil saves that moment of panic when you suddenly realize that the 3 gallon bucket aint going to hold it all! Very handy when you overfill as well.
  20. Heres the one that fell all on its own in the opposite direction to what it was leaning! No notch just cut it straight through at the very rotton base, while supported with wedges, Big heavy sling and just dragged it down with the tractor. Easy peasy
  21. I tried it a few times when i first got it and taking out the sump plug only got me a few drips. In fact on the VW Diesel with the paper filters you can suck out the filter housing and get an extra half a cupfull out. A Smart car has no sump plug the vac device is the only way to change the oil.
  22. Forgot at the time but also is the needle lever set at the correct height then next is the diaphram in the right way around and the gaskets. Seen some really good ones in the past. We have Makita strimmers and from the factory the L is set 1 turn out and you cant get them to rev up from cold 3 turns out and everyone thinks your a genius lol
  23. I have one of those as well and it gets the thumbs up from me:thumbup: I cant remember the last time i undid a sump plug, Those things are better left alone!
  24. Inside the carb there is a little gauze filter and these can choke up and stops it drawing fuel. Wher you use the purge it wont fill back up and seems to be full of air. If its a few years old it might just be time for a carb kit the new diaphram and fuel pump can work wonders. Letting it idle for a little while before you shut it off can help as well.
  25. Another one in the same area. This one is still up and maybe 200 yards from the others.
