  4. If they sold you ppi whilst knowing your self employed then its been mis-sold as self employed are'nt coverd by ppi so you can also put in a claim for mis-selling as I understand it, had lots of good advice from here The Consumer Forums - Page One

  7. I try and work local if I can but if the jobs worth it I'll travel, however that doesn't apply to the phonecall earlier asking if I'd fetch a muck heap from Tamworth, not going all the way there and back at 16 mph on the tractor

  15. You were lucky there mate, I bought my old hi cap as cat C salvage due to the drop arm ball joint doing exactly the same, but had done it at speed, when I got it the cab roof was on the headrests and the front bulkhead was bent as it had flipped when the steering went
  16. I put anything down to approx 3-4" into the selling pile and anything below, goes in a pile for home or the charcoal burner, burns as hot and lights easier than bigger stuff, only downside is having to stoke the woodburner more often

I've always said theres more evidence for "global Warming" being a natural cycle than being man made, climate change scientists always seem to go quiet when asked to explain how the earth managed to warm enough to thaw after the ice ages without mans imput of pollution, never let the facts get in the way of good argument, climate change is big business
  23. Deepest sympathies to you and yours mate

I've inherited a few things over the years, mostly old block planes, a paraffin blowtorch (never got it going think it needs new seals), as for useable day to day tools I have a few digging bars 3 of which have been "acquired" for which read found on jobs the two short ones are both black smith made and are far and away better than anything you can buy now
